We stayed in BC for 3 weeks and here for 3 nights and this was our #1 B & B.The hosts were gracious. The breakfasts varied and delightful. The house and the views where extraordinary.
On top of this we had full use of their modern kitchen.

Room Tip: View of 3 Sisters great

They had me at Eggs Benny!
Ian and Charlotte are the perfect hosts;they have a taste for quality that is felt and experienced throughout the entirety of the log home. The Guest rooms are luxurious, complete with your own en-suite full bathroom ,and a high quality King size bed made fresh with sheets that exude a soft orange like fragrance. The Amish built furniture designed to perfection provides a noticeable yet delicate sense of grounding that compliment both the feminine, and masculine energies within the space. To top it off, they sent my forgotten vitamins back to calgary in the mail! Oh,and did I mention Hot Tub!?When you arrive, book again because chances are likely everyone else has:) THANK YOU BLACKSTONE LODGE FOR A FABULOUS 3 DAY STAY WITH YOU,I WILL SEEN YOU AGAIN SOON!

My husband and I stayed here recently and it was perfect -- everything we hoped it would be and more. The lodge is grand in design (love the sparkly chandelier!) with beautiful, modern cozy rustic-style rooms and generous access to everything you could possibly need (gorgeous shared guest kitchen on main level that also has a living room, large dining room, theatre room, gas barbeque and even laundry if you need it; not to mention a large hot tub outside and a couple of other nice surprises like a great spot for an evening campfire). We found Fernie really quite charming and were impressed by the heritage buildings, shops, cafes and selection of great places to enjoy a really nice dinner -- we ended up at Mezzaluna for evening out and were very satisfied as it was also just what we were looking for. Think rustic Italian with great ambiance, delicious homemade bread, wine, a fireplace, fresh pasta and pleasant, efficient staff. Perfect and just what we were looking for after a long day of driving. Our only regret from this trip was that we didn't have time to stay in the area and at Blackstone longer. Next time we'll spend at least three or four nights here if not more so we can enjoy more of what the area has to offer and really take time to kick back and relax and take in that gorgeous mountain backdrop. Excellent find and a great stay. We'd recommend Blackstone Lodge without hesitation and are confident you'll enjoy a stop here as much as we did. Check-in and make yourself at home. Well done Ian and Charlotte! (P.S. They're on Mountain Time in Fernie so it's an hour later than the rest of B.C., and drive time from Vancouver if you're wondering is about 12 hours in good weather, give or take. We stayed in Oliver overnight to break up the trip)

We could not have asked for a better place to spend our time in Fernie!. The host Ian and Charlotte are just a great couple, warm and welcoming. The rooms are just beautiful and they all have a very nice view, very clean and warm. The breakfast is excellent and very filling. We highly recommend that if you are staying in Fernie that you stay at Blackstone Lodge, it will make you never forget Fernie BC.

We totally lucked out with this Lodge that we stumbled upon on this site. The owners Charlotte and Ian are very warm and welcoming hosts. Very relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful log home with an outstanding view of the surrounding mountains and ski hills. The rooms are of the highest quality with the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of great conversation and laughs. Excellent prices for this top notch Lodge, a comparable room in Whistler would cost 3 times as much, but this place would still be a bargain even at those rates. We liked it so much that we stayed an extra night and are planning on returning next year!

My friend and I stayed here 3 nights recently, visiting family.

Ian and Charlotte were great hosts who helped us with outdoor activity suggestions. They are present, but never over-bearing.

My son was welcomed as a guest at our breakfast one morning. Delicious food - they go the extra mile with lovely fresh fruits, quality items, cooked breakfast - whatever you want.

The rooms were beautiful, bedding wonderful. Sooooo nice.

Sat on their porch drinking wine looking out at the hills - beautiful evening.

I don't want to tell everyone how great this place was because I don't want it to be all booked up next time I want to go. But I guess I will. My husband and I and our three kids stayed a night here on our way to Montana. We ate our sandwiches we brought out on the lovely front porch with fantastic mountain views and fresh air, then played some football, watched a little TV in the amazing theater room, went for a hot tub in the cedar barrel which smelled amazing (like cedar), and had a great sleep on very comfortable beds. Most hotel beds are not even close to being this comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was more like a buffet. My baby had oatmeal with blueberries, my seven year old had waffles, husband had eggs benedict, I had toast and Jam and I think my nine year old had it all. Ian and Charlotte were very kind and relaxed about everything. We're going again at Christmas.
