This restaurant is fancy without overdoing it. It is a fondue and raclette restaurant. The cheapest meal is about 15$ and the portions, although they might seems small, are quite satisfaying. Make sure you're not in a hurry, because the meal takes time as you need to "cook" it yourself. Most dining tables are made for 2 or 4 people, and since fondue and raclette require lots of space on the table, I would not recommand it for a party of more than 4 persons.
First, it would be a good idea to make reservations since they have busy nights.
When you arrive, you are often welcome by a very charming mustached man. The restaurant's employees are all wearing these costumes of swiss tradition (I believe). Cute costumes anyway, and it adds to create the cozy feeling. The restaurant is divided in 3 or 4 sections, so technically, when it's busy, you should have less noises in each room. However, when it's busy, it's busy and you'll hear it, no matter where you're sitting. Also, if it's a romantic dinner, try to avoid sitting the other facing the windows in front of the restaurant because when cars park in front, she/he will get annoying car lights in their eyes.
So once you order, you get a small portion of garden salad no matter what you ordered. It takes quite some time before you receive your main course, but the wait is worth it since the food is delicious. I normally take fondues, so I will only review fondues. If it's a first for you, I suggest you take the Chinese Bouquetiere (beef, chicken and brocoli), it gives you an idea of what fondue is without spending too much if you don't like it. So for the fondue, they give you a plate with the uncooked meat/vegetables on your side, and the plate in front of you contains 4 different sauces (Garlic, Curry, French and Onion). If you need refill, there is no extra charge. You also get round potatoes that you need to cook as well. Of course, the fondue bowl stands in the middle of the table, between you and the other in front of you. Not the best way to have physical contact with the person in front of you but you can do that later...
Most of the time when I go, I don't have any space left for dessert, but they do serve a chocolate fondue that I tried. The only issue with the chocolate fondue is they put too many marshmallows... I would prefer more fruits with the chocolate, but still, it ends the dinner really well.
Overall I love this restaurant. There is not many like this in the area...Yes, there is cons but not many enough to remove a star from it. So if you're passing by, and not in a hurry, try it!
