Granby Zoo is a great place to spend the day with your kids. There are many different animals and they are all sectioned off by continent. Our daughter's favourite exhibit was the South Pacific Odyssey Pavillion. There you get to pet the rays and see many exotic marine life such as sharks, octopi, sea turtles and sea horses. We ended our day with that exhibit. In the morning we saw the animals and because it was hot that day we spent the afternoon in the water park which has a great wave pool and water play area for the kids. We didn't even have time for the amusement park because there was so much to see and do. One of the downsides I would say is that there are extras you have to pay such as some of the rides and the monorail, considering that we spent over $100 for admission for 2 adults and a child. Also, it seemed that there is only one way to get into the parking lot and if you don't get there early enough, you could get stuck for awhile in the one lane that leads into lot. The positives are, aside from the attractions, that there are many areas where you can sit and eat if you bring your own meal and you can rent wagons and strollers. I would suggest going early to avoid the traffic getting into the parking lot and also so that you get a chance to see as much of the zoo as possible. Overall, a great day trip!
