“Very Comfortable for Overnight Stay & Friendly Staff”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

This is a very good regional-town hotel. We only stayed one night, and the hotel is very suitable for a short stay. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the room was a good size and very clean with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious - but we may have had an accessible room. There is no safe in the room and our air conditioning didn't seem to work - it blew air, but made no temperature difference (and a bit noisy).
Hotel is well located with quiet surrounds. The Casino, shops and restaurants were an easy walk, although most of the town seemed to be closed by around 9:00pm. I can't comment on the hotel bar or restaurant but did have an enjoyable meal at the Savalas restaurant (about 3 blocks down Reid Street).
From talking to other travellers, this is one of the better hotels in Quesnel and we enjoyed our limited time here.

This hotel was very clean with a good downtown location. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I never went into the hotel restaurant but have been told by friends it is very good. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the parking lot side, a little less noisy.

This is an older Motel but is well maintained. There is in attached café. The rooms are large and clean. The lobby is very small with little room except for check in/out. The location is in town close to a bakery, steak House and downtown stores.

We found the staff very friendly and helpful more so than most. This seems to be one of the best places in town to stay. The Rocky Mountaineer uses this hotel for an overnight stop.

We arrived in the afternoon without reservations. They only had 2 rooms left because the Rocky Mountain Train tour going from Whistler to Jasper had booked almost all of the rooms. We had a room with queen bed. Room was clean and very nice. Bed was great. The hotel is in downtown Quesnel and close to all of the local stores and restaurants. More on the restaurants in another review. For those not familiar with upper British Columbia, Quesnel had cell phone service and the hotel had WIFI that actually worked.

Room Tip: Our room was great, and suspect they are all similar.

We spent a night here en route from Jasper to Quesnel on the Rocky Mountaineer. Parts of the hotel are really rather shabby and could do with renovation but we found the staff extremely helpful - even serving us a meal in the Restaurant close to closing time as our train had been late in. It's situated fairly close to the shops and main part of this small town. Typical of many Best Western hotels throughout the world but, unlike some reviewers, we found the room temperature was just right for us and there were plenty of tea/coffee making supplies in the room. No complaints from us.

The room was nicely furnished and included two chairs, a desk, and a refrigerator. There were plenty of outlets to plug in your phone or other devices for charging. The bathroom was large and had the expected amenities. Free WiFi was available.

There was one major problem. There was no closet or place to hang up clothes though there was a chest to put clothes in. Also, in a 3 floor hotel the only ice machine was on the first floor.

The hotel did have a restaurant but I did not use it.

Staff really friendly and pub good for a relaxing drink and an appetiser there was also a restaurant if you needed a full meal. Comfortable and clean for a one night stay as a stopover. All the amenities were in the room with efficient air conditioning.
