“What a great golf holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2012

This had to be one of the best golf holiday that my buddy and I had been on. the staff were so welcoming to us with every need we had. The courses we played were fantastic. Resort course 8-10, the Springs course 10-10 and the fairmont course 9-10. the weather was great but we all know that is a factor we cannot control, but this past weekend it was great. the restaurant was fantastic, with a wide variety of food for breakfast, lunch and supper. i will be going back again...i would tell everyone I know to go here for a nice relaxing vacation, as well as the best in golf courses..

Room Tip: Room 250!!!!

The room was wonderful, great bed, nice deck overlooking the golf course property. It was early in the season, so perhaps they weren't ready for guests, but I found the front desk person to be less than helpful. There was no information in the rooms to help orient to either the hotel or the area. When asking for that, the front desk person was unaware of where to find anything and not very helpful in regards to recommending restaurants. There was no information handy about the hot springs, even the hours were not posted. When asked, we were given incorrect information for the hours and went there only to find out they didn't open until much later. All in all, not a place I'd return to. Fortunateley I had a coupon so the price was good.

We are glad you enjoyed your overall experience. We did have several new employees start in April and they have been training hard! In addition to our in house training they have attended a local orientation night to be better educated about everything Radium has to offer. We have also updated our in-rom information with the most current Resort and surrounding area information. We do hope you consider Radium Resort in any future plans to visit the area.

You have to haul your own luggage up about 3 flights of stairs both going and coming without any help. Other than that hotel nice rooms good and the golf course very nice for people who like short par fours.

Room Tip: All rooms were good but I like to go to the top as you do not hear anyone walkling above you but you...

Thank you for your feedback on your trip. I can certainly appreciate your desire to be on the top floor, it offers great views of the Resort Course! Our Front Desk is always happy to assist with luggage transportation. We are working hard to ensure all of our staff are offering this service to every guest at check in. We look forward to providing you with great luggage assistant during your next stay with us!

We stayed there over Easter weekend and were very pleased, rooms are big and clean but what really stood out was the service. We used their complimentary shuttle a couple of times which was great. The restaurant is very good with excellent service. Their hot complimentary breakfast was super.

Thank you for staying with us over Easter weekend. We pride ourselves on our great service and we are glad you were able to use our complimentary shuttle. We are always happy to shuttle guests to the Village of Radium or the Radium Hot Springs. Our complimentary hot breakfast will be running throughout the summer and we hope you will come back to enjoy it!

Want to make your parents happy - take them for some quality time to Radium. The room was wonderful..It was super clean and updated. The free breakfast had great coffee and waffles...It will make them forget their aches and pains...when they soak in the hot tub.....They will have the best sleep not having to listen to traffic or city noise. Also you can take them to the big pool to enjoy the fresh air and warm water. It is good to spoil the ones you love...

Room Tip: Let them know if you have older parents and they will place you in a room closer to the pool area.

Pros:
We stayed in the loft which had a nice layout with plenty of space. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We received some freshly baked cookies which was a nice welcome. The dining room had a great menu, good food and the servers were also great. The complimentary hot breakfast was excellent. The pool and hot tub was nice and so were the change rooms – all looked well maintained.

Cons:
Upon entering the room, it immediately looked outdated and definitely not worth the rate we were charged. Nail clippings on the carpet did not set a good first impression. The upstairs toilet had a leak so the tank kept refilling every 15 minutes or so which noticeably continued throughout the day and night. The plumbing on the same toilet had a slow leak so there was always a small puddle on the bathroom floor. The toilet was badly stained and the metallic fixture in the tub was badly rusted. The beds were very uncomfortable. The king and double beds were very hard and the pillows were flat. The one not-so-hard single bed was slightly lowered on one side so anyone lying on this bed was bound to roll off.

Overall, this place was not worth the money and could use some serious renovations. I would not recommend this resort.

Room Tip: We've always stayed at the Prestige and this experience will bring us back there.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2012

Spent a couple of days at the resort in July 2011 while travelling within B.C. found the resort to be fairly clean with the rooms being average and not spectacular. They do need to be upgraded if they want to be able to call themselves a RESORT. The pool wasn't in service when we were there which was a disappointment for the kids. Found the buffet breakfast a little pricey for what you got. We've travelled quite a bit in the past few years and have to say that if we to be going through that part of B.C. again, we probably would stay somewhere else,

Room Tip: The resort is pretty large so get some advice from staff before booking which wing you're in.

Thank-you for your review. I am very happy to let you know that our brand new hot tub has been installed and is working fabulously and we have finished resurfacing our pool and it is also open.

We do recognize the importance of a great breakfast while travelling. We now include a hot breakfast featuring bacon, eggs, and waffle station with every nights stay. I do hope you get a chance to come back an experience the changes we made since you have been here!
