“Boutique hôtel style b&b great service and a pleasant surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2011 via mobile

You would not expect such luxury in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from the beach in Bathurst. The friendly ( and talkative) hosts keep everything spotless! Rooms are carefully appointed and equipped with everything you would need. The decor of this place reminds me of a Miami beach house ! To boot: babies are welcome! I guess the rooms are far enough from each other that it does not matter if one brings a noisy baby ( although ours is quiet). Breakfast is excellent although a bit sweet. I prefer eggs but it seems they were only serving the specialty of the house that morning! Well worth the stop and price. Never seen a b&b as luxurious and organized with tourist AND business traveller in mind!

Lying in the most comfortable bed ever as I write this review, wishing we could stay longer!!!! This has been THE MOST wonderful B&B experience we ever had. The hosts, inn and the room, the service, food, hospitality EVERYTHING was just fantastic!!!!! As my title says, I wish there would be a higher rating than 5 stars to rate this place!

Thank you guys for a wonderful stay.

WOW... what a beautiful place! More like a 5 star hotel then a B&B. The owners of L'Etoile du Havre, certainly know how to bring the B&B experience to a superior level! Spotless, well tailored yards and owners Denis and Benoit are attentive to your every need. They certainly own up to the reputation of the Maritimes welcoming hospitality . We would certainly go back...

I stayed at L'Etoile du Havre on a recent business trip through Bathurst and was so pleasantly surprised by the impeccably styled accommodations and friendly hosts - Denis and Benoit.

Upon arrival Denis greeted us warmly with a glass of wine in his beautiful kitchen and provided interesting information abouf the region.

The inn's rooms are beautiful, fully equipped with beautiful bed linens, a lovely patio to enjoy the fresh breeze off the Baie des Chaleurs, a rain shower, and luxury swedish bath products.

Breakfast was yet another delight when Denis prepared fluffy crepes with fresh fruit and cheese.

L'Etoile du Havre is the only accommodation worth considering in the region if you are looking for a relaxed yet sophisticated guest experience.

My husband and I have travelled extensively and when we can, stay at B&B's. We must say this B&B was such a treat! We have never stayed at a B&B with so much to offer. From the minute you drive up the driveway and enter the front door you're in amazement - the attention to detail is second-to-none. The owners Denis and Benoit are so welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts were outstanding as well. During our vacation drive through NB & PEI we talked about their B&B to everyone we came across.
The rooms are so well appointed, from the memory foam pillows and mattress, to the linens, decor, spa products in the bathroom - jacuzzi tub - huge shower and rain shower head - we could go on and on, but instead you should just make the visit yourself!

Unbelievable! Nothing but excellent all around! Attended daughters wedding in town and stayed here with family and occupied 4 of the 6 rooms for about 5 days. All the reviews are correct in their more than favorable comments and the online photos don't do it justice. Right down from the plush 6 pillows per bed with 1020 thread count sheets to the modern contemporary decor. Denis and Benoit were great hosts with WONDERFUL breakfasts! If you are ever in the Bathurst area, look no further! (It would even be worth your while traveling further to be here) You will never beat this for cleanliness, space, convenience, comfort, interest, decor, value... the common areas are incredible. This compares to the Bellagio in Vegas (only without the fountain). We felt like we were in our own home among friends at all times and would give this 6 stars if there was an option here. Give this a go and guaranteed you will not be disappointed! Way to go Denis and Benoit, and we will see you again soon! :)

I stayed at this B&B for two nights during a work trip to Bathurst, which I'd have to add is a lovely city. L'Etoile de Havre totally bucked the traditional B&B conventions with its modern and contemporary decor. There's a lot of shiny black and grey surfaces in the room and everything is spotless. I stayed in L'Etoile Nicholas Denys Room which was one of the smaller ones on the ground floor. The bed was definitely comfortable and I loved the Face-brand bathroom amenities from Stockholm, very luxe for a B&B. Each room had its own private bathroom and some had a tub while the best room I saw was L'Etoile Diamant which one of my colleagues enjoyed.

The hosts are very outgoing and talkative, and welcomed us with glasses of wine and stories of how they started this B&B. The breakfasts were crepes with cream cheese and fresh fruit on the first morning and hard-boiled eggs benedict with yogurt and fruit the second.

This was such an unusual and unexpected find that my colleagues are still talking about this memorable accommodation. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

Room Tip: Best room is L'Etoile Diamant
