“Beautiful spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2008

After a beautiful holidaytrip (Vancouver, Pemberton, Quesnel, Mt. Robson, Jasper, Canmore, Kootenay, Okanagan, Port McNeill) we (5 Dutch adults) spent 3 days at Eagle Landing/Qualicum Beach/Vancouver Island. We have enjoyed lovely accomodation. The best of it was, without any doubt, Eagle Landing.

Behind a long sweep you will find a nice house in a garden with a great view on the Street of Georgia. Fine spacious guestrooms. Anne is cooking an awesome breakfast (eg eggs Colbert, last time I savoured these was at Waldorf Asoria/New York). Jim and Anne demonstrate "agape", a kind of unselfish love.

This was our first bed and breakfast experience and it was surely one to remember! First of all, the owners, Anne and Jim, were incredibly welcoming, caring, and willing to help us with suggestions on local attractions/things to do. The location was a little hard to find since we relied entirely on our GPS; however, Jim's directions available on the website proved to be exact! The views were excellent, the breakfast was great, and the room was very comfortable and complete. After our two-night stay, we felt as though we were saying goodbye to family members because Anne and Jim really are the epitome of hospitality!

We stayed at Eagle Landing about 4 years ago and enjoyed the location, the food and Anne and Jim so much that we decided to stay with them again on our return to Vancouver Island this year. Plus we took our best friends along!

Once again, Anne and Jim provided a very comfortable setting for our 3 night stay. The view from the back deck is fantastic and the home cooked breakfasts were scrumptious. Plus Jim and Anne always are filled with interesting and entertaining conversation.

I greatly recommend this wonderful B&B.

We had the pleasure of staying at Eagle Landing for two nights and loved it! This B&B is nestled in the woods looking out on the Strait of Georgia from way above-gorgeous view! There are rooms in the beautiful main house but we were in another building which consists of one large room on the second floor and includes a kitchenette. It was perfect for the 4 of us: 2 adults and our 2 daughters. When we arrived Jim and Anne invited us in for tea-a welcome treat after a day of travelling. They were most helpful and friendly. Breakfast was large and tasty. The area is beautiful and we only wish we had been able to stay longer. Next trip we will definitely go back to Eagle Landing!

We stayed in the loft suite for two nights with our seven and five year old children. Although we only stayed for a weekend, we arrived home truly refreshed and feeling as if we had had a true vacation.
The room is wonderful and is equipped with anything you could need. The breakfasts similarly wonderful. Our kids had a great time exploring the shoreline and ridge and enjoying the fantastic view. Jim and Ann are gracious hosts. We will definitely visit again. Thank you, Jim and Ann, for a great weekend. See you next summer!

My sister and I were on a two-week British Columbia vacation spending one week on Vancouver Island the splitting the second week with Whistler and Vancouver. We stayed at five different B&Bs and truly felt that Anne and Jim were the most genuine and nicest people, their home had the perfect setting with huge windows overlooking their lawn and the Georgia Strait where we saw cruise ships passing by on their way to Alaska. We wish we would have stayed more than the one night we booked. Qualicum Beach is so beautiful. As we drove towards the beach at high tide we couldn’t believe the sight. We wish we could have stayed longer. There are many day trips we could have taken using Eagle’s Landing as a base.

After getting dinner recommendations that evening, we were walking to our car and Jim asked if we liked red or white wine. That was such a kind gesture and we enjoyed spending an hour after our dinner having wine and talking about our lives. They are the nicest people we have ever met. We wish we didn’t live so far because I would love to be able to stay at Eagle’s Landing again.
