“Qualicum Beach Waterfront”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

The lovely shoreline of Qualicum Beach is a nice place to take a picnic or just sit and breath in the ocean air. Incredibly beautiful, the shoreline has plenty of parking, picnic tables and benches from which to enjoy the oceanfront view. There is a Beach Hut Diner if you wish a hot dog, chips, or a snack, but you won't find gourmet dining here, and for the number of employees on duty, service was a bit slow.

I would recommend going to Quality Foods up in the village, purchasing some take away food from the deli, and enjoying a picnic on an oceanfront table, while listening to the gentle lapping of the waves against the shore. A beautiful spot for some quiet contemplation.

“Seen Better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

This is a large beach where lots of people seem to enjoy it's position. However the beach itself is very rocky in parts and the sand has a greenish muddy coating which has an unpleasant odour.
My idea of a good beach is clean soft flow between the toes sand, not this gunk. The walkway at the beach edge is a good feature and the small cafes and some restaurants and bars along the front make for an enjoyable hours pastime. the water doe's seem to be shallow enough for parents to be reasonably comfortable to watch their children play in it. Lots of parking spaces right beside the walkway and benches for people to sit on and just watch. Other than that not really much to commend it.

“Peaceful and pretty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

Lovely park to take the kids or walk the dog. Very quiet during the day. Also safe if walking alone. Conveniently located to downtown so you can shop, pick up a snack and then go to the park to eat.

“Great gathering place for families”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

The Qualicum Beach Community Park has lots to offer the family. There are many walking trails that wind through the forest, there is a great childrens playground attached to the playing fields. During the ball season there are six ball diamonds with a smaller field for youth play as well as a central field for blast ball or tee ball games. All this is not far from the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre and the Ravensong Pool. There is even a skateboard park area for those who enjoy watching or taking part. Just to the west of the park is a BMX track with the BMX club.
