“Great cafe. The atmosphere is relaxed. The food is superb.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2012

We walked by the cafe and decided to check out the menu. A patron who had just finished her meal, told us the food was 'Tres bonne.' The menu looked interesting: a mix of different cultures and tastes. Martin the owner and the cook was very friendly. We are glad we stayed. Food was delicious. The jambo crepe with cheddar cheese was fantastique. A jewel situated at the top of the hill.

“Great Mix of Flavours”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2012

I had the Salmon crepe, table d'hote. It was an excellent blend of flavours, with feta and some sweet. A warm side salad with crunchy chips and mellow flavour, fun to eat.
The soup was a a butternut squash with a dash of creme fraiche, my favourite type of soup and really comforting. My tea was in a large cup, which stayed warm! The owner was extremely charming and accomodating. The only drawback is the artwork and ceiling fixtures, it was somewhat nightmarish/scary, and is from local artists. For the beauty and flavour of the food served here, the image should reflect, and will be much more inviting.

“Great cafe - def. worth a detour from the highway!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2011

Nice little cafe with outdoor seating and a friendly owner. Even though he was short-staffed (all his staff had just gone back to school), the service was quick and attentive, and the food was great. We had the fixed menu, starting with a nice cream of cucumber soup, followed by pulled pork fried rice and a ham & cheddar sweet crepe, and since he was unfortunately out of the tarte sucre, we had a delicious slice of chocolate cake with coffee. We were on the road between Bristol, NB and Trois Rivieres, QC, and this was worth pulling off the highway to grab lunch.

“Wonderful!”

Found this with tripadvisor app. Ham crepes were so tasty. Pleasant servers who tried their best to cater to us in English. Went with my infant and 3 year old. Great find on a long trip.

“Enjoy a real French experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2011 via mobile

Passing through Rivière-du-Loup, we found l'Innocent through Trip Advisor. It was exactly as described.
The ambience is very European, the chef is friendly and informative, and the food is fantastic.
We shared a bottle of Malbec. I had penne with pesto and prosciutto, and a warm salad entré. My wife had the chef's specialty - jambon crepe. For dessert we had espresso and café au lait and tarte de sucrè. Everything was great.
