We stayed at the Inn on Frederick in early August, 2004. The lovely old home has been beautifully restored with wonderful antiques and turn of the century charm. All of the rooms were very comfortably decorated; the one we stayed in (one of the larger ones, with a King size bed and double jucuzzi tub) was superb.
The Inn's location is literally just a few steps from the heart of little St. Andrews by the Sea and all there is to see and do there - lovely little shops, the wharf and all the associated attractions there, some really nice places to eat, a supermarket, a liquor store, everything you could ask for in an Inn.
If you're looking for a place to treat your wife, this is it. As a honeymoon destination, it would be a really nice place to stay for two or three days in the summer. The honeymoon package looked pretty reasonable.
The breakfast we had was excellent. We didn't have a dinner, but the chef looked liked he had the skill and the equipment in the kitchen to do a really nice romantic meal.
The hosts were excellent too. I'd highly recommend the Inn on Frederick.
