“Great Location and Cozy Rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

We stayed here for Paddlefest (music festival in May). The cottages are just that, cottages, but as such have a decidedly cozy feel. There is a nice common area right on the water, which is a great spot to take in the natural beauty of St Andrews harbour. We were lucky enough to stay during a full moon, which lit up the harbour into the early morning.

Rooms are comfortable, innkeepers are nice and it's an easy walk to downtown St Andrews.

Nice clean place with a great view . Good size for 2 people , might be a little cramped if there were 4 adults . The kitchen had everything we needed . The guy who checked us in wasn't overly friendly , barely even spoke to us . The deck was wonderful . One thing this place needs is a clock in the bedrooms . I couldn't sleep well at all because when I woke up I didn't have a clue what time it was . So if you go take one with you .
I do have to say the people in St Andrews are very friendly .

We stayed here for the first stop on our 1st year anniversary to the East Coast. What a great start to our trip! We stayed at the Sandpiper, a tiny cottage with a little deck, a BBQ out front, and a wonderful view of the water. It is such an adorable little place and it is a perfect size for a couple. We were only there for a night and we enjoyed some of the cuisine in town, but if you wanted to cook there was a small kitchenette with fridge, stove, and they provided lots of a cooking utensils and a kettle. Everything was very clean. The only thing I would mention is there was only a shower, and that was a tight fit. Wasn't really a problem for my husband and I. Overall a wonderful stay and I wish we had stayed longer!

Room Tip: Go Whale Watching - Try Jolly Breeze, it's a tall ship, which is just fun even without the whale...

We had an excellent cabin right on the water. Two small rooms, a decent sized living room area, small kitchen and a bathroom...with an excellent deck, perfect for four people. We only stayed one night, but it would have been nice to stay longer. Easy walk into town from here.

We stayed at the Seaside Beach Resort in early September 2012. There were 6 of us and we stayed in the Spruce Cottage. The cottage is absolutely adorable.....the craftmanship of the woodwork is quite impressive. Most importantly, it was immaculately clean! Check in was a breeze....our stay was very enjoyable. The cottages are quite close together so if there is a party going on, as there was when we were there...it can be a bit noisy but nothing that was really bothersome. Unfortunately, it was foggy and drizzly for most of our stay but the sun did come out before we left and the views were beautiful. My only suggestion would be to replace the couches.....they are definitely past their expiration date! I would definitely recommend Seaside.....

Room Tip: Spruce Cottage is a 3 bedroom cottage - very nice!

The unit we stayed in was small but with a good view and it was very clean. It was well equipped and the location was very convenient. I think sound proofing could be a concern but luckily we did not have noisy neighbors. All in all good value.

Room Tip: Be sure to select the right configuration of unit for your requirements.

Stayed at Seaside in August two years ago with two daughters and Granddaughter at the end of a 50th anniversary tour of Maritimes. Everyone loved the entire experience. Whale watching, the aquarium, the neat shops and great restaurants and historical surroundings were found to be outstanding.
Last year following attendance at a reunion in Nova Scotia we stopped into the Seaside Beach Resort accompanied by two ladies who were travelling back to Ontario with us. Although residents of NS and NB neither had previously visited St Andrews and they totally loved the town, the Bay and the Resort.
In late summer this year we decided to take a vacation and both very quickly came up with the same destination. Headed east - did our visiting and returned to Seaside Beach Resort to finish off our trip.
We have travelled coast to coast in both Canada and the US and have experienced a wide variety of accommodation. When considering the basic requirements of cleanliness, comfort, security and safety, and location - location - location, in our opinion, you cannot beat the Seaside Beach Resort. Any time you walk into your accommodation and find a full sized stove and a large canning kettle/lobster pot you know you are welcome and invited to enjoy yourself to the fullest.

Finally, the pine decor and finishing of the units mentioned in several reviews is the handywork of none other than the owner/manager of the complex, Dave Sullivan. Also three books in the office entrance dealing with St Andrews and local history were either written or edited by him as well.
Stop by for a chat and you will find a very intersting person.
We will return
