“Very nice place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2009

We enjoyed a one night stay, and wished we had longer (my husband said he could have stayed for a week). The location is perfect, as it is right at the water's edge. You can walk to the pier along the beach boardwalk. The accomodation is in the center of town, so everything is nearby, or one can walk just a little ways to everything. Our room, #15, was on the second floor, so we had a nice view of 'the rock'. My husband enjoyed sitting out on the 2nd floor walkway, reading and enjoying the view and sound of the waves! Also at night, we left the window open a bit, to hear the waves roaring onto the beach. The room was pleasant and clean. The price was great (for 2 adults/2 teens, it was only $99 + tax, and that included a great continental buffet breakfast. That rate was only up until that night, of July 12th, and the rate would change starting the next day, as that was when peak season started). The breakfast is in a nice-sized, bright room, across the road from the motel units, where registration is, as well. Pleasant staff serve the drinks (juice, coffee/tea, and our children had their own pots of hot chocolate). The table where the food is, is nicely displayed, and there is a selection of pastries/breads, fruits, and a couple of selections of cereal. You serve yourself, and can go back to get more. Even though the weather there was cool, and rainy/windy at times, we had a good visit, and it didn't stop us from touring around!

We stayed at its sister hotel le Panorama down the street. Very cute and clean motel. The Bathrooms were impeccable. The staff was so friendly and accomodating. We had breakfast included it was a very good deal. The adjacent restaurant was very clean. The Family that owns the motel was an amazing help to helping us get around as to what to see and do. We would definetely stay again.

Following Trip Advisor reviews, I booked with this motel instead of La Mirage. We were very impressed. Our room (#1) looked straight onto the ocean and our other window gave us a fabulous view of the Rock. We were steps away from the boardwalk. The room had a king bed, small kitchenette and dining table. Shower was strong and hot. The breakfast was fabulous -- located in the main lobby, coffee/tea & orange juice are served by wait staff. Breakfast was simple but well appointed -- baguettes, toast selection, croissant, fresh fruit/fruit salad, a bit of cheese and most importantly -- pain chocolat. We found it filling and refreshing. Our trip was a relaxing two night --- nice pleasant walk from one end of boardwalk to the other.

We enjoyed the most perfect weekend getaway! We were met promptly at the train station by the owner, driven into town with comfortable conversation as to what we were seeing as we drove. Our room was exactly as discussed, a room with a view over the ocean, and easy access to the town boardwalk. The room was immaculate, the bed extremely comfortable. Breakfasts were included, and the fresh fruit and fresh pastries were accompanied by excellent coffee. Our hosts were knowledgeable, and we were so warmly welcomed into the town where we had little language but no trouble being understood.
This town of Perce is a gem - incomparable beauty. It is an older town, and the new buildings are strictly regulated by the local building codes so that it is difficult to discern the old buildings from the new. The architecture is colourful and so pleasing.
The local fauna is diverse - seals, penguins, (yes!!), seabirds... all abundant and exciting.
There are water excursions, hikes to be enjoyed, excellent restaurants, and everywhere a heartfelt welcome by the gentle people of Perce.
I highly recommend basing your visit from the Fleur de Lys.

We stayed in Motel Fleur de Lys for 6 nights. We are very happy with our stay. The owner was very accomodating to our needs. The room is nice with the view of the rock. We stayed in a large room. I think that it was # 17. It has 2 double beds and a lazy chair. I love the sound of the waves every nights and mornings. The breakfast was so delicious with warm home made french baguettes or muffins. It was plentiful. We were so full after our breakfast and ready to go sight seeing.

We picked the Rock Package and it was the best! Our room had a view of the Perce Rock. A big window with chairs and table so we could sit and have morning coffee when the sun came up one of the mornings at 4 a.m. It does come up early there on the Gaspe Peninsula.
The room was very large, clean and well-decorated.
The package included a continental breakfast and when it was placed in front of us I believe I gasped. It was a beautiful presentation of fruit, a croissant and the wonderful toast that we had gotten used to in Quebec along with a fresh serving of raspberry jam.
Our package also included a cruise to the Rock and Isle Bonaventure. It was almost like sailing to the end of the world.
We will be recommending it to our friends!
