Brutal..... Buffet is over priced .... old.... and very empty.... ordered from the menu from a bus boy that was told now you are a waiter.... more than an hour later we still did not have soup..... staff were yelled at, customers were yelled at..... 27 people left.... we waited .... and waited..... and I have no idea how the food was... we never got any.... an hour and a half and we left hungry.... We will NEVER go back to this spot....

“Worse ever experience at any restaurant”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

We attended the new location on 6 Apr...a horrible experience...first a bus boy was pressed into action to act as a server...he was without a doubt the highlight of the visit...he did his utmost to take care of us...(the owner/manager was in a panic and miss-treated her employees in public). An hour after our arrival a second party was seated in the same area...then given note pads and asked to write out their orders...30 minutes later neither of the parties had received their food and therefore we all left... It would appear that if one is not there for the buffet..it would be best to eat elsewhere. unless you have 2 or more hours to wait for your food. As we were leaving the owner/manager was being ignorant to her take-out delivery driver, the young man who did his best to serve us and some of the customers. You can rest assured we will never set foot in that Restaurant again.

“our Friday out”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

We went to the House of Dragon buffet last evening for 4:30 pm. The trays were filled around 4:45 and we didn't mind the wait. A lot of customers arrived after we did.

I really like hot and sour soup, there wasn't any and when I did get the won ton soup there were maybe 10 won tons in the entire pot, I only took 2 so that others would get some as well. The spare ribs were so tough I couldn't eat mine, the rest of the food wasn't too bad but I have had much better at other Chinese buffet's. The price for the food that was offered was quite high, even with the senior discount of 20% (which is great) we still paid over $40 for our food and I left a $5 tip for the waiter. I asked about the hot and sour soup when I was paying for our meal and was told that they only offer 1 soup at the buffet but do have the hot and sour soup sometimes.

Needless to say, we won't be telling our friends about this place in a positive way.

The restaurant needs to go out to other Chinese buffets and copy the menu from those places, that way they will get word of mouth advertising in a positive way. Word of mouth???? The best advertising there is. Need I say more?

“buffet-too pricy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

We went to the new location to try the buffet & found that the serving trays were almost empty at 5:30 in the evening. For $22.00- all you can eat-, it was a real disapointment because; there was not a good selection of chinese food as they advertised. Instead, there was a lot of ordinary & not appealling Canadiaan food. We went to try some of their dishes that appear on their takeout menu. Next time, we will stick to the takeout which is very reasonable & tasty generous servings.

“House of Dragon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

This remains, simply put, one of my favorite Chinese restaurants anywhere. Just had Saturday lunch there. Buffet. Everything. Absolutely everything was fresh. The cooked veggies had a nice crispness to them. The chicken balls, handmade on the premises are the best. Anywhere. While most restaurants serve pre-fab chicken balls where looking for the chicken is like trying to find the prize in the cracker jacks box, House of Dragon chicken balls feature a lot of chicken in a light breading. Same goes for the spring rolls and onion rings. Lightly breaded, crisp, not greasy.
The tofu mix vegetables had nice fresh bok choi, mushrooms that weren't mushy.
Everything works. Nice, clean establishment. Much larger than their previous location.
Huge breakfast, lunch and dessert assortments.
The fresh blueberries, pineapple, strawberries and orange slices, to name just a few treats at the breakfast section of the buffet.
The pickled ginger was a rare treat. Highly recommend it.
The owner, Simon, will make your fresh waffle/French toast in front of you.
Singapore lo mein!!!! Don't miss it.
I can't say enough good things about this restaurant and its new location (where parking is now easy). I'll be going back in a week.
