What I remember the most was the friendly greeting as I arrived. The rooms were quite nice and the bed was very comfortable. We were able to get a tour boat just down the street and were able to leave our car at the inn. Going back next summer.

Room Tip: Get a room close to the pool

We stayed there on June 29 for one night because it was close to the ribfest event and the water. We were three adults, two children and three dogs. I booked online with choice hotels website and on points. I called the Hotel prior to our arrival to make a special request and spoke to Wendy who was very helpful and pleasant. I requested groung floor rooms side by side which she gave us no problem. Upon arrival We were served by Tina whom was also helpful and pleasant. Our rooms were renovated and clean and looked exactly like the web photos and across from the indoor pool. The trip advisor photos I had seen of this property taken by reviewers and also by myself by using Google maps were true. The exterior back part of the property which looks old and rundown and also the photos of the original house attached made us worried. According to the staff, renovations are ongoing and the exterior of the Hotel will be repaired towards the end of the year. This is a very good Hotel in Gananoque for it's location near the waterfront. Ribfest was a two minute walk from the Hotel which we all enjoyed especially my daughter and close to our fishing charter reservation that my son and I had the next day with Dan Spencer's fihing charters that my son really enjoyed and caught a large mouth bass. We should have stayed there until Canada day for the fireworks but were not sure prior to booking. We will do it for sure the next time.

Room Tip: No free breakfast served. If you bring food there is a fridge and microwave in room and plenty of re...

We only stayed one night in this hotel and is was no good experience. Upon arrival we found a very dirty room, the windows look like if they weren't cleaned for decades with a lot of spiders to observe. The bathroom was very gross too, we were really disgusted. Cleanliness is the number one criteria. The bed was uncomfortable too. I can't understand why this hotel has such high ratings, I'm used to stay at hotels of the same category but never found one in such bad shape and didn't feel at ease at all. Even if the price was extremely high (for the shape it's in) breakfast was not included, but we were happy to leave as fast as possible anyway and got a great breakfast in town. Only positive side is the location, very close to the boat launching as well as to "downtown" Gananoque (there is not a lot going on there.) The other hotels all were further away. Nevertheless I would recommend staying in one of these as you can easily take your car, there's a big parking near the boat launching. But as I said, there's really nothing else to do in Gananoque so I would recommend doing the 1000 islands cruise and then drive on to Ottawa or Cornwall (near Upper Canada Village). Will never stay again at a hotel of that chain.

We booked our stay online and called the Clarion the day before to request a room in a quiet area. When we arrived everything was as I hoped for and beyond. The room was very clean and spacious. We had a suite with a Jacuzzi tub and king sized bed, fireplace, fridge and microwave, coffee pot, all worked well. The air conditioner was turned on and running when we arrived cooling the room and the fridge was working well also. When we walked in to the room both my husband and myself said, "nice, very nice"! The housekeeping staff did a great job. After a day outing to Kingston we returned to find towel swans that were around the Jacuzzi. This is something we only have seen in the Caribbean. It got a big smile from us. The staff were very helpful in asking any questions or concerns. We were very pleased with our stay and the king sized bed was very comfortable. We would highly recommend the Clarion Inn, in Gananoque to anyone looking for a very clean and comfortable place to stay. Oh yes, almost forgot the pool. Although we never used it, it looked very clean and inviting. Hats off to the management and staff at Clarion. You do a great job!

The family getaway could not have been better. The kids loved the large pool. The room was very nice and had everything we wanted. The front desk folks were very helpful and we will return to this hotel. Everything was just perfect

Room Tip: Kids liked the room close to the pool

After we left Montreal we headed to thousand islands on our way back to Toronto. The girl at the front counter was nice and helpful and got us set up for the weekend. We went on the tour ship that was just a quick walk from the hotel. The kids loved the nice big inside pool. The rooms were very clean and very well priced. I cant wait to go back to thousand islands. Stay here for sure.

We arrived in Gananoque at 8 AM, hours before we could check in. We had a trip to take at 10 AM, and the Manager allowed us to park there until our return (Very Greatful). We decided to have breakfast before our trip, not recommended, over priced. Example: Coffee $2.99, a cup of Nabob Coffee, not the best! My partner had a cup of tea, she asked for Earl Grey, but simply received a Mother Parkers brand of tea, $2.99, not worth it! All staff we encountered were very friendly, and accommadating. The only problem in the room was two bathroom towels, they were worn through, all others were in excellent condition! The rooms were very clean! I don't know if they supply local telephone books to the room, but one would have been useful. We used their indoor pool, first the shower at poolside wasn't working. Second, the pool has a liner that was not put in properly, there are raised lines that weren't stretched to leave a smooth surface to walk on, not pleasant. We received misinformation about two eating establishments, one not opened at the early hours of our departure, and the other I've already reviewed!
