We only stayed one night in this hotel and is was no good experience. Upon arrival we found a very dirty room, the windows look like if they weren't cleaned for decades with a lot of spiders to observe. The bathroom was very gross too, we were really disgusted. Cleanliness is the number one criteria. The bed was uncomfortable too. I can't understand why this hotel has such high ratings, I'm used to stay at hotels of the same category but never found one in such bad shape and didn't feel at ease at all. Even if the price was extremely high (for the shape it's in) breakfast was not included, but we were happy to leave as fast as possible anyway and got a great breakfast in town. Only positive side is the location, very close to the boat launching as well as to "downtown" Gananoque (there is not a lot going on there.) The other hotels all were further away. Nevertheless I would recommend staying in one of these as you can easily take your car, there's a big parking near the boat launching. But as I said, there's really nothing else to do in Gananoque so I would recommend doing the 1000 islands cruise and then drive on to Ottawa or Cornwall (near Upper Canada Village). Will never stay again at a hotel of that chain.

We booked our stay online and called the Clarion the day before to request a room in a quiet area. When we arrived everything was as I hoped for and beyond. The room was very clean and spacious. We had a suite with a Jacuzzi tub and king sized bed, fireplace, fridge and microwave, coffee pot, all worked well. The air conditioner was turned on and running when we arrived cooling the room and the fridge was working well also. When we walked in to the room both my husband and myself said, "nice, very nice"! The housekeeping staff did a great job. After a day outing to Kingston we returned to find towel swans that were around the Jacuzzi. This is something we only have seen in the Caribbean. It got a big smile from us. The staff were very helpful in asking any questions or concerns. We were very pleased with our stay and the king sized bed was very comfortable. We would highly recommend the Clarion Inn, in Gananoque to anyone looking for a very clean and comfortable place to stay. Oh yes, almost forgot the pool. Although we never used it, it looked very clean and inviting. Hats off to the management and staff at Clarion. You do a great job!

The family getaway could not have been better. The kids loved the large pool. The room was very nice and had everything we wanted. The front desk folks were very helpful and we will return to this hotel. Everything was just perfect

After we left Montreal we headed to thousand islands on our way back to Toronto. The girl at the front counter was nice and helpful and got us set up for the weekend. We went on the tour ship that was just a quick walk from the hotel. The kids loved the nice big inside pool. The rooms were very clean and very well priced. I cant wait to go back to thousand islands. Stay here for sure.
