“Relaxing evening and terrific breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

We enjoyed the efficient reception, then relaxed on the covered porch with our wine and snacks that we were able to store in the bar fridge of the large main floor of this B and B. The owner gave us several suggestions for restaurants, and we really enjoyed our dinner. Our suite was composed of two small rooms with a small bathroom. Very comfortable bed!

Breakfast was a highlight-each of the four courses was freshly made and delicious.

Au Clos Rolland was a beautiful maintained old home with lots of history. Perfect for a cycling trip on the nearby P'tit Train du Nord.

My wife and I were looking for the perfect romantic getaway and we've found it at the B&B Au Clos Rolland! The old house was beautiful, the room was very spatious and comfortable, and the host Sylvain was a model of efficiency, warmth and helpfulness. The 4-course breakfasts were delicious, healthy and visually impressive. We felt more like we were at a high-class, five stars hotel! We've spent a lot of time in the beautiful reading room playing board games and in the lounge just reading and daydreaming while looking at the scenery outside. We've loved the place so much that we've already booked another stay this fall! We can't recommend this place highly enough!

Room Tip: We chose the "Flemmardise" for the double-bath and the intimacy it gave, being on the top...

I was looking for a place where I could immerse myself on a writing project and I could not have found a better place! Sylvain and Lorraine are wonderful, kind, discrete, and welcoming hosts. The service was impeccable and the food amazing. The house has many areas where I could sit and do my writing and the setting was perfect too...it was nice to look up from my computer screen and see outside of the window the small forest of maple trees that surrounds the property.
The location is also very convenient, walking distance from nice quaint cafes (try Starca down the street or for a very special dinner Garçons a 10min drive in the St. Adèle centre). If you like walking/hiking there are several trails near by that are worth exploring.
All in all...one of my best stays ever!

This B&B is the perfect balance of private and communal (there are a few communal spaces that are comfortable and spacious), modern and traditional, and the 4-course breakfast is to die for! I will definitely be back here again... and again, and again, and again.

We stayed here when the Clos Rolland first opened and loved it, and our second visit did not disappoint either. Classy decor in an old world style manor - originally the home of the local paper baron. Delicious and very filling breakfasts, evenings by the fireplace, hospitality plus! Looking forward to our next stay...

As other reviewers have noted, this is an exceptional B+B, in a large and gracious heritage house, set in spacious grounds, in a quiet part of the village of Sainte-Adele in the lovely Laurentian Hills. A bonus is its close proximity to the linear park along the former railway track - great for biking and walking in the summer, and cross-country skiing in winter. We discovered great snow-shoeing trails a short drive away, thanks to the recommendation of Sylvain, the helpful host.

Features worth emphasizing are: the generous-sized rooms which are tastefully furnished (and not "overdone", like in some other places); the over-sized and comfy public rooms on the ground floor (including small fridge for guests' use, and grand wood fireplace generously stocked during our stay); and the amazing gourmet breakfasts, featuring 3 full services (plus extras): during our 3 breakfasts, not a single course was repeated, and all were delicious.

We had just booked 1 night at this beautiful b&b but would return for an extended stay in the future. Gorgeous setting, spacious room, fabulous gourmet breakfast, and very congenial host, Sylvain. A good location from which to tour the area.
