We had an amazing time at this hidden gem in St Adele. Great lakefront B&B cabin with delicious breakfasts and extremely friendly owners. Lovely place inside and out.

I spent 1 night in the charming B&B with my husband and we enjoyed the experience.
The location, the house are great.
The rooms are nicely decorated.
The hostess and her son are very welcoming.
We choose the suite room option and found it expensive for the comfort standard offered - in particular the bathroom which is very small and has just a basic shower for 170+$.
The bed was very comfortable.

This B&B is in a beautiful property not long from St Adele (although it isn't super easy to find). The rooms are great (we stayed at St Germain), the location perfect, and the owners extremely warm. Will be back for sure!

This was a place my daughter and her now-husband chose to have their wedding. I can't think of a more perfect location. It is nestled in a beautiful country setting with views of a river and the added bonus of waterfalls and natural pools for swimming. The proprietors were more than gracious and helpful, suggesting local eateries and attractions. They really helped to make the day special. Excellent breakfast. Each room is cozily decorated and has it's own private bath. I highly recommend this lovely, lovely place.

We had our wedding here and it was the perfect place. A rustic chalet with comfortable and quiet rooms, all with private baths, and delicious breakfasts. Stunning views of the river and there is a fun section of waterfalls you can swim in and a natural pool below. Our hosts were very helpful, suggesting good local places to eat, and were attentive during the wedding. We look forward to returning year after year for our anniversaries.

From the minute I saw the photos of A l'oree du bois on their website I knew that it was a very special location with beautiful accomodations. In the end the website was absolutely spot on. Set in the woods on a beautiful curve of river with its own manicured swimming hole we were enchanted by the setting. The morning swim in the pristine river was devine. Our suite was perfect for us as my parents were traveling with my daughter and I. The beds in the main fireplaced room (single and queen) were of very good quality. The bed in the adjoining room was a bit older and not as comfortable but for one night it was fine. The views from the windows were lovely and everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was a highlight as the chef/owner is very comfortable and creative in the kitchen and was most accomodating when it came to making custom omelettes. There was also a large selection of craft style breads for toasting, homemade jams and lovely fruit offerings. With easy access to all that the Laurentians have to offer, A l'oree du bois is a gem tucked away in lovely setting and run by delightful and engaging owners.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
We are located in the Laurentians, 50 minutes north of Montreal and 5 minutes from the lovely town of Sainte-Adèle. The planning and design of "À l'orée du bois" has a country inn feel, more than a B&B, in that the owners' quarters are completely separate.A big part of our reputation are our breakfasts. Coffee, juices, fruits, a variety of breads and home made jams, are followed by one of the house specialties. Whether you choose the eggs benedict, avocado and cheese omelettes, or our ''Croque-monsieur'' sandwich, we feel confident you won't have to lunch soon after.Nestled on an undevelopped river, our 5 ½ acres of landscaped property offers numerous footpaths, access to our watercrafts, cascades and natural swimming pool. Easy chairs are located in strategic areas for your relaxation and wildlife observation. Deer, moose, beaver, herons, ducks and other wildlife can often be seen. In winter snowshoeing and x-country skiing can be practiced from the property. ... more   less
