Stayed for three nights in October with the family. Within the first 15 minutes of arriving in our room the full length mirror fell off the door and onto one of our children's feet. To be fair, our kids were fooling around, but the mirror was not properly attached. The staff was apologetic but indifferent. The next afternoon when we returned to our room the mirror had been replaced, but was attached worse than it was in the first place and promptly fell off again. Lucky for the hotel, Canada does not have the lawsuit culture of some other countries. Besides that our stay was fine. The beds were comfortable and the hot breakfast was great. The building is greatly in need of updating on the inside, especially the flooring. The rooms are smaller than most but I guess that goes with an older building. Probably would try to stay elsewhere if in Airdrie again.

An older hotel, though a bit of effort has been made to try to update rooms; some weird little things like light switches in odd places (had to hunt in the dark a bit the first time I entered). Room was generally clean, breakfast was decent - pretty much the standard fare for the BW Plus hotels. Overall a decent place to stay, but nothing special. If I wasn't a BW Rewards member, I probably would try somewhere else in Airdrie to see how it compares.

I have been staying at the Best Western for the past 3 years for business. The rooms are newly furnished: new comfy beds, sanitary remote, clean, updated decor, fair sized fridge and microwave. God parking for cars, trucks and truck & trailers. The complimentary breakfast is fantastic, many options to choose from and the largest breakfast room I have ever seen in a hotel. The location of this hotel is good, great restaraunts and many other services within two blocks of the hotel. The staff here is exceptional, especially Susan Ballard! Everyone is always smiling, competent, friendly, accomodating and personable. For example, last summer I had rolled my ankle and could barely walk. The front desk attendant took my bags to my room and brought me ice several times throughout the evening. I don't know of any other place that would give you that kind of service. The staff has always treated me like VIP and I have no complaints about this hotel or anyone that works in it. Will stay here for years to come! Helpful staff and full breakfast. Rooms cleaned well, but, in spite of effort to dress up the outside, this hotel is obviously old. The room was smaller than any of the newer hotels leaving you crowded when you walk around the bed. Our room had a balcony that was separated from the neighbour with a small fence which was nice but the view was of the parking lot. on the whole slightly below average unless you are used to new first class hotels then you would find this much below average.
