“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012 via mobile

On the North Dinosaur Trail. Beautiful view of the Badlands. The badlands in Badlanda National Park are more impressive.

The best part of this canyon was how few people were there. Go late (or early) in the day so the colors of the canyon stand out more!

“Remote beauty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

This is out in the middle of wheat country. Hiking paths abound. A small version of the US badlands. I watched a prairie dog for 10 minutes here. Pictures did not do it justice.... But it's a long way out of your way.

“What a view of the badlands”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

Definitely a must-stop if you are in the area. The photo opportunities were limitless. Seems very popular with tourists, a lot stopped when we were there.

“Like our own Grand Canyon :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012

It is hard to imagine something of this magnitude exists in Alberta and you will feel as though you are in a different country when taking it in. Pack good shoes and hike to the bottom, or do as we did and also take in the helicopter tour! The canyon itself is free and the helicopter ride was very reasonable and a once in a lifetime experience.
