My wife & I recently stayed one night at the Newcastle Country Inn as part of a ten day road trip. We were lucky enough to get the last room at the inn for the night we arrived. At first we were hesitant as this is not your typical motel/hotel you would find in a small town. However, we were more than satisfied with our stay.

When we arrived the owners greeted us kindly and were helpful in showing us to our room and giving us some insight on where we could eat that night. The room was very clean and had what you would expect in any chain hotel. In the morning there was ample choices for your breakfast which you could enjoy in the privacy of your room or with others in the country kitchen setting.

All in all a good choice. Don't forget to visit the Royal Tyrell Museum while in Drumheller. It's well worth the $10.00 admission.

What more can one really ask for than the 3 things mentioned in the title? The couple who run the inn are warm and friendly people. They helped us with directions and pointed out a great little restaurant for dinner that we would never have found otherwise. The rooms themselves are no frills, but very clean and comfortable. The price is very fair.

A nice family-style continental breakfast is also provided, free of charge, as is parking.

Drumheller isn't exactly a luxury-resort type town like Banff (our next destination on our trip), so you can't expect to find a 4-star accommodation in the middle of the badlands, but Newcastle Country Inn is a place nobody could ever complain about.

We rented 2 rooms to accommodate all 6 of us: 3 middle aged, 2 kids (10 and 13) and my mom at 68. We stayed at this inn only for one night. For all of us, the cleanliness was the first thing that stood out; the place is spotless. If this is important to you (it is to us), you cannot possibly find a cleaner place!

This is a very large house, which has been converted into an inn. So, much of it is house like. There are rooms both upstairs and downstairs (basement with windows and our rooms were downstairs). The rooms come with a TV, independednt washroom (including shower and bath tub), etc.

The owners are extremly friendly and treat you like friends. The very large kitchen with several small tables is where breakfast is self served.

This is not a regular hotel type accommodation and if you are into partying late at night with friends, etc., it would neither be suitable for you nor your hotel mates. However, if you are into exploring the town and surrounding and are using the rooms to rest and if you appreciate a super clean and very well maintained establishment, I could not praise Newcastle Country Inn enough.

We were extremely pleased with our stay here ... the room was charming and spotlessly clean. We were made to feel more like family than paying guests! Wish that we could find more places like this.
