“wild life”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

it's a combination of a zoo, and play area, lots to see and do, it's just a shame that even though it is a national park things are very expense.

“Enjoyable walking/ hiking near Edmonton”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

Lots of trails to follow, bison to see, nature to enjoy. Nature trails give information on eg. pond life.. Good place for a picnic during the summer. Open ground to enjoy throwing frisbees, kicking soccer balls etc.

“Bison up close!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

We drove through the park in October when the leaves where turning colors. It was an absolutely gorgeous drive. As soon as we were into the park we saw several bison up close. That was super cool!! We even saw some babies! We drove into each little road to see what was down the path. There were lots of unique and attractive views down each little road. Just know that if you turn off of highway 16 to go north, that they will charge you nearly $20 to go through the park even if you are not stopping in the park.

“nature without all the hype”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

They have numerous hiking trails that are for those wanting to explore nature as it really is. For me, this has always been my favourite part of Elk Island. You'll be sure to see buffalo and elk, as well as deer and a wide range of birds and waterfowl.

“Hidden spot of Edmonton.”

Great day outing to go for a hike, biking and a BBQ. Lots of trails and wildlife with to see and fire pits to bring your own food to BBQ.
