Our family consists of two adults and four children ten and under. In the middle of a snowstorm we were refused by both Super 8 and Best Western (Wetaskewin) because they don't allow more than five people per room. We had to drive an extra hour to Leduc to find a place to stay. The people at the Western Budget welcomed us. Maybe they know that families still do exist and that the children are the future generation?

Just had a wonderful family weekend at the Western Budget motel in Leduc, Alberta. There are 3 motels of this chain in Leduc, as it is near the Edmonton airport, but be sure to ask for Western Budget number 3. The manager, Jim was always welcoming and accommodating, treating the children like honored guests. His kindness and humor never failed. The entire staff was helpful and efficient, and glad to help us out in any way possible.

The motel is new and immaculate, has a complimentary breakfast, wireless internet, a games room, and a great salt water swimming pool. A fitness center will be added soon.

I booked a jacuzzi room, a huge room with a natural gas fireplace, a massive jacuzzi tub, separate bathroom and kitchen with a good sized fridge and stove. (There are also bunk bed rooms available). The jacuzzi tub was great for the kids, who loved to swim until they were totally worn out and then had the big warm tub to look forward to, and later, for the adults, who just wanted to relax in front of the fire. Having the full kitchen gave the place a kind of cottage feeling, and it was great to get away from fast food restaurants that always seem like the only option when staying in a motel.

I have stayed here once before, in January of this year. I had the same great service and great accommodation then. I was very glad to return to the Western Budget which lives up to its motto...a home away from home. I will be looking forward to my next visit and all the fun and relaxation that a family could possibly enjoy at a great little motel in Leduc, Alberta.

I stayed here when i was on my way up north. I though the service was fantastic as well as the staff. The room was very clean, spacious , the fireplaces were a great touch and of course the jaccuzi was out of this world. I also like the fact that you could use the computers downstairs for all your internet needs. I stayed at hotel #1 and I will definately stay there again and highly reccomend staying there. I saw this hotel online and booked it since it was about a 3 minute drive from the Edmonton airport. I read a few good reviews, but some of the bad reviews got me nervous after I had booked a room there. I went to the hotel expecting someone nasty at the desk, but the lady who served us was lovely. She was helpful, friendly and very accomodating. I thought maybe I had just "lucked out" and not gotten this nasty lady I had read about, but the second lady I dealt with at night was equally as pleasant as the first. Our room was HUGE! I was so surprised! It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and it was well stocked. Yes, it was a little older than places we usually stay, but we were VERY happy with it. When we went to use the phone for the first time at 1 a.m., we realized it didn't work. I went to the front desk and they didn't have an extra one. I was worried about our wake up call. The lady came to our room to try to fix the phone and couldn't, so she actually came to our room and woke us up at 5:30 the next morning....just in case our alarm clock hadn't gone off. Now, how many hotels would do that for you? I thought the service was great. Maybe the people who left the bad reviews were there before the new management took over?? Not sure, but we will DEFINITELY stay at this hotel again. It is a great deal.
