“Fish Taco's & Pelegrino Water”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2012

I recommend the fish taco's. The restaurant atmosphere is very good. TVs for sports, yet not too loud.

“renovated into an upscale style restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2011

Ample parking and good food. The Earl's chain have renovated their restaurants into a higher end lounge restaurant. Therefore, the prices have been increased as well. The food taste is still solid.

“Nice atmosphere but expensive, inedible food. Poor value. Go elsewhere”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2011

Earl's has evolved since its beginnings. It started out as a White Spot competitor, then went upscale with upscale prices but quality food. The past couple of visits, especially this one in August was the last. The high prices remain, but its like the kitchen doesn't care what it pumps out. It was a Tuesday night, not busy. We were a group of about 12.

The service was poor and the food worse. The Earl's burger was extremely salt, a dry patty, and dry toasted bun. The fries were the thin frozen ones, uniformly cut and come in bags. They were saltly and limp. I ordered a glass of beer and got a mug (did I get upsold or genuinely a mistake?). A beer and an inedible burger with quick fry frozen french fries was $24 before tip. Poor value.

For service, I was the last to arrive to the group. But neither the hostess nor the waitress noticed me joining the group. I had to ask for the menu and cutlery/napkin and something to drink. Hello!

As for the saltiness, my tongue stung for the next 24 hours. Why is so much salt used?

Sorry, Earl's I'll take our groups elsewhere.

This used to be our favorite "go-to" eatery, until we discovered Sammy J. Pepper's, which is closer and the menu has a bit more variety. Earl's is still good, and like Sammy J's, the views are pretty good here, too.
