Pretty cheap place, but quite a way from the waterfront, science world, chinatown...But #106 bus stop is 1 block away. About a 3-5 minute ride down to the skytrain. Then take the skytrain to the tourist destinations (about 20 minutes to waterfront?). If you plan to take the bus to the skytrain, I would recommend you walk past that bus stop to the 7 Eleven about another block away and buy the Day Pass for CAD $8. Bus costs CAD $3.25 and skytrain is about CAD $3.25+. So you can save money if you plan to do more than two rides of bus/skytrain.
Service was pretty good. Front desk was helpful in giving bus & skytrain station location and about Day Pass available at 7 Eleven. It was about 9am and we had a ton of luggage and check-out is 11am, but we don't go to airport (without a car) until noon. Front desk first told us we can leave luggage at front desk, but in the morning they said they have no room and told us to just leave it in the front (in front of the door... ?huh?). But we had about 5 big luggages so they kindly let us put them all back into the room we stayed in and will tell housekeeping to work around them.
The only bad thing about this place is that it's SMELLY! Hallway really stinks and even in the room. Had to keep the "AC" air turned on throughout the night to keep it from being so bad. Room was a bit small and the lights were kinda scary at first when you open it...they sounded like they were bubbling...and the hallway was very narrow (which was hard to get our many luggages through especially with housekeeping who leaves cart in the hallway.
Overall, cheap place to stay in if you are on a budget. Just see if you don't mind the smell and bus/skytrain transportation if no car.
