The museum has many wonderful displays including First Nations, fossils and painting of the ancient sea that was here, and pioneer historic pieces.

Entry is by donation - a great deal!!!

“take the fossil hunting option!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

Have done this a few times with my family, last time was 3 years ago, the youngest was 4 right up to teens and adults, we all enjoy it!
The gentleman who does the trip (Pat?) was so friendly and helpful!
The museum itself is very interesting, lots to see and keep the youngest amused for about 45 min or so, he really liked having his picture taken by some of the animals. Keep in mind this is a small town museum, their funding is not great but if you are interested in the topics you could spend many hours here. We enjoyed ourselves for a few hours and it was more than worth the amount of money we paid. We have returned many times over the years to the fossil hunting site with our own equipment to fossil hunt and swim in the river, weather permitting of course.

“excellent attraction from fossil s to first nations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

For a small town this was a well presented museum. The displays were well laid out with good explanations. The curators have obviously put in the effort to make this small collection stand out. It would be nice if more towns had museums. Worth a visit and support.
