We stayed in the chestnut room for six nights in mid May. It was a very pleasent room with beautiful views of the bay, mountains and the Shipton's exquisite gardens. Mike and "Mo" Shipton are a friendly couple, and "Mo" was very helpful in recommending activities, attractions and dining in the area. She was also very accommodating to my dietary needs. The breakfasts were very tasty, especially "Mo's" homemade baked goods.

The Hosts the Shiptons were very welcoming and run a first rate B&B. The Food was attractively presented and very tasty. The gardens were spectacular and worth staying at this B&B for them alone. We stayed for two nights on our honeymoon
and would return again on another trip.

Courtenay, Greystone Manor: Wonderful location

This Bed & Breakfast was built in 1918 on 1.2 acre English garden setting with an ocean view. We stayed 2 nights in the Chestnut room.
The owners are a British couple who have spent many years restoring the manor. The room has a view of the ocean and gardens. Very quiet setting where you are able to spend time relaxing in the gardens. The breakfast is a wonderful full breakfast. The owners are gracious hosts with a full knowledge of the Comox valley. We will be returning
shortly and look forward to returning to the manor.

Our three night stay at the Greystone was the culmination of a trans-Canada trip beginning in Toronto. Hosts Mike and Maureen ("Mo") Shipton were friendly and attentive. The B & B is located on the shore of Comox Bay. The house is only a hundred feet or so from the sub-road off the main highway but the property is flanked by tall trees insuring privacy. The surrounding grounds are spectacular with huge flower gardens flanked by massive, old trees. The shore of the Bay is only a few hundred feet away and easily reached via a path through a gate at the end of the property. Many bald eagles were seen every day at low tide. Mike and Mo were knowledgeable abut the area and very helpful in providing information and directions of what to do and see in the area. Breakfast fare was plentiful and well prepared with all homemade baked goods and items fresh from the on-site vegetable garden. The rooms were nicely appointed and sparkling clean. I can recommend the Greystone without reservation and would choose to stay there should I make future trips to the Courtenay area.
