St. Eugene's immediately struck me as we drove up the curved driveway, due to its historic appearance. the grounds are very well kept and everything is within walking distance almost completely indoors. the Restaurants and lounges have a very country club feel including a port and cigar room and a billiards room. The staff were quick to remember names which was amazing considering over 80 of us ascended all at the same time. Both food and Drink is reasonably priced making a very good venue for a group like a wedding of a school or family reunion. I believe that a room for the night and a round of gold was 130.00, a almost unheard of value for a course of these beauty. Lots of wildlife on the course and rushing rivers and gurgling streams and sneaky ponds poke up out of no where. There is huge banquet tent just next to the course just steps away from the lobby and the health center has Two hot tubs ,a nice sized pool, steam and sauna rooms, which are unisex, as well as a decent gym to get the blood going in the morning. A big feature for me was coming from Northern British Columbia, many places are a tough commute, St. Eugene's was less than 5 hours routing through Vancouver and only 1 1/2 hours from Vancouver International. The airport is less than six minutes from course itself so little time is wasted in travel. The Casino is decent although if ten to gamble in places like Vegas you will notice there are a number of more rules at the tables which can get annoying. Over all a very classy and affordable vacation.
