Owner description: The main feature of this 18-hole golf course is variety: links-style holes, elevation changes, lush water-filled holes and tight tree-lined holes all combine for challenging play.

“Beautiful setting, facilities, views, service at St. Eugene”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

Wonderful redevelopment of former Mission School into classic hotel with newer expansion, golf course, conference facilities, lounge and casino on St.Mary's River for fly fishing as well in season. Visit St. Eugene often each year especially for conferences, business meetings, visiting guests, local tours and relaxing get-away.

“Great golf course”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

It's not only a lovely course but great food in the lounge and restaurant. All the staff are very pleasant. I have never stayed here but hear only good things. There is also a casino. It is a bit of a drive out Cranbrook...10 minutes, so not walking distance, but located near Kimberley as well. Close to other attractions and golf courses. . Beautiful heritage building and grounds, don't forget your camera.

“Beautiful makeover of a bad history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

The Indian residential schools were generally a disaster, but in this case, one has formed the foundation for an excellent new development. I did not stay in the hotel or visit the casino, but the golf course was my favourite of the three I played while in Kimberley. It is a very well laid out track that offers challenges for every level of golfer. It is in a spectacular setting with the Rocky Mountains in the distance. The view of the residential school with the mountains behind it as you come in on 18 is worth the price of admission.

“Very Enjoyable Round”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

The golf course is in great shape and playable by all skill levels. The fairways are wide and the wooded areas are open enough that you can find your ball - although it may not be a good idea to play out :( The greens were excellent and seemed to run true.

The course is laid out so that you pass by the washrooms and concession regularly, which was greatly appreciated on a hot day.
