Considering the favorable reviews, I was somewhat disappointed by what I found.
The hotel consists of two buildings. Like most moderns hotels, the newer structure has through-the-wall HVAC units. The older building has window A/C units, which present a problem if you like both privacy and ventilation at the same time. In the older building, where I stayed, the curtains if pulled straight across will block the output from the A/C. And if not pulled across the A/C, people using the exterior corridor can look right in at you. I resolved the problem by tucking the curtains in around the A/C, which was no small feat, considering they didn't want to stay put.
The room lighting was very dim, the toilet wouldn't flush unless you held the lever down, and the shower curtain suffered from the sour smell of an overused dishrag. The concrete walkways of the older building are noticeably deteriorated. On the plus side, the room was fairly large, and although I had neighbors on both sides I did not hear them; apparently (judging from one wall by the bathroom) the older building is made of cinder blocks, which may explain the peace and quiet. (Well-behaved neighbors may be another reason.) I was on the south side of the older building, so I did not hear the highway (at least not through the A/C), and the view to the south from the south side of the older building is impressive. For the area, the price was somewhat less than average, so a stay here isn't necessarily a bad thing. Just go in with realistic expectations.
