“Excellent Start to Our Honeymoon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

My husband and I began a 2-week "Powder Highway" road trip with Sally and Chris at the Cloudside. Neither of us had ever stayed in a B & B before and we absolutely fell in love with the house, the set up and the service provided to us at Cloudside. Sally and Chris were delightful, breakfast was great - granola and yogurt to start followed by a warm meal (eggs, french toast, etc.), and afternoon tea was a favorite of mine after skiing. The inn is close to downtown and we were able to walk to dinner each night. We will definitely stay here again!

A charming, very clean and cozy inn just minutes from Whitewater. We booked this at the last minute to go skiing, and were very pleased. The breakfasts were excellent, the innkeeper was really helpful and informative, and seemed genuinely interested to make sure guests had an excellent stay. Not a fancy place, but immaculately clean, well priced and located in the center of town, minutes to great restaurants. Fast internet as well. We loved it.

I have stayed here twice in the last few years and love it. We do not live that far away, only an hour away, but it is nice to have a getaway in the "city". The B and B is conveniently located to all of the shops and restaurants, the beds are super comfortable, food is wonderful. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Love Tamarack, if you need more than one bed.

We had a relaxing one-night stay at Cloudside this September during our motorbike trip of the Kootenays. Fabulous breakfast (with yummy homemade granola), very cozy bedroom with ensuite bathroom (and a very effective heater) and a location right in the middle of town. We had a sundowner on the sundeck at the back and received good advice on where to eat dinner from the helpful owners. Breakfast was interesting as we met with people from Germany, France, USA and Calgary and exchanged recommendations on where to go next. Off-street parking for the bikes was also a plus.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front of the house have nice views and are large.

My husband and I stayed in the Willow room for part of our honeymoon October 2012. I would recommend the room, service and the quality of the breakfast. Chris was nice enough to pack us a breakfast for our last morning as we had an early departure. The binder provided on nearby restaurants was very helpful as we were new to Nelson.

Chris and Sally run a top notch B&B in Nelson, B.C. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and treated respectfully and professionally. The home was pleasant, the rooms spacious and well-appointed. We particularly loved the breakfasts. Chris made unique warm dishes and provided, in addition, a selection of grains, seeds, granola and fruit mixes. We were pleasantly surprised when he also brought out muffins one day and another day amazing cookies to take with us to eat later on our travels. The B&B was located in a downtown location making it handy for exploring the city on foot, yet the noise from the city was not disturbing. Our room on the front of the building had a nice city view. This is definitely a place we would visit again.

Room Tip: A historical walking tour of the downtown is available and easy to do from the location of this B&am...
