My partner and I have stayed here a few times, and have had our respective families from other parts of Canada join us as well. If you are looking for a place that is child and pet-friendly, clean and quiet, offers a spectacular lake view and sandy beach, yet easy driving access to the area's amenities, this is the place to stay! Mineral hotsprings and spas, caves to explore, glaciers to hike, skiing, biking, kayaking, fishing and shopping and dining in the eclectic City of Nelson are nearby activities for all ages! For that feeling of being in a cabin on the lake, each motel unit offers separate kitchen, bedroom and bathroom facilities. The large common patio area for barbequing offers the opportunity to socialize with other guests from places as far away as Europe. Having discount passes for the hotsprings and kayaks available right at the beach through the Resort , also makes the stay convenient. Add to all this, a free breakfast (waffles & omelets included!) in their quaint lakeview room during your summer stay. We've come to enjoy all the activities and we've also stayed simply to relax in this breathtaking, natural setting! We haven't found another location that offers all of this, without it being remote. We'll be back with yet more guests!
