“Soo Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2012

Saigon Garden is one of the best little resturants in Parksville. The food is beyond amazing, and the prices are very reasonable. The only downside is that it can get quite busy during lunch time, but you do receive your food very quick!

“Best lunch in Parksville if you like Asian cuisine.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2012

This small restaurant is one of the most happening places for lunch in Parksville. Only open during the week, it is so popular that you often have to wait for a table during the 12-1 lunch hour.

The service is brisk and it doesn't take long to get your meal. The decor is basic, but it's the food that shines.

This is authentic and very tasty Vietnamese cuisine. It is extremely reliable as I believe it is a family run business and when they are on holiday, sick, or busy, the restaurant isn't open.

I highly recommend Saigon Garden if you enjoy Vietnamese food. It is worth the visit.

“is business this good in Parksville to treat customers this way??”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2012

my son and I walked into an almost empty restaurant before noon to grab a quick soup. The table we chose was more than wobbly; it was swaying, so we slid over to the table beside, as we wanted to sit near the window. We got our own menus as no one served us. The server came over and instead of even a hi, told us to move to a smaller table. We pointed at the broken one and she said, so then sit at another one, this one is for big groups. We pointed to the empty restaurant, and she said, yes there are lots of tables, sit somewhere else. Wow. We handed the menus back and walked out. She just grabbed the menus and shrugged.

Oceanside in general is not known for good service, and as part time residents we set our expectations low, but this was uncalled for. We've eaten here once before and the food was good, but it's closed on Sundays and on random days during the year (we've had to go elsewhere on a few occasions). I guess it's a good place if you follow orders and keep quiet.

“Great food, great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012

Today was exceptional since the service was significantly faster than it used to. Our server is already familiar with us: she knows that we only have half an hour to spend, she knows our order so all we had to do is flag her and our food is ready in few minutes despite how busy they get. We get hot and sour soup combo with vermicelli and the food was exceptionally delicious today that I almost finished the whole big bowl! Mmm, mmm.
