“Rathtrevor is a lovely ocean stop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

We beachcombed here on low tide, rented bikes here for $5/hour and toured the park, bike trails through Qualicum. Gorgeous woodlands, miles of beach..so sad that we didn't get to spend more time here....

“Serene location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

A short walk from our Oceanside Village Resort, approx. 15 minutes. Dogs enjoyed the walk. Not too crowded on the day we went.

“Average Beach”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

The beach itself is not particularly attractive. The first part is stony and the remainder is covered in a greenish mud. Not what I would call nice sand. The camping part of the park is a nice forested area with lots of camping places for tents and RV's etc. There is a month long sand sculpting exhibition on through July-August which is pretty good and has sculptors from all over the world contributing. They don't use local sand by the way. They import it from elsewhere. There is a "suggested" $2.50 donation to enter this part of the beach. Well worth it. There is a small bandstand on the boardwalk which has live music during the day which is very good. Lots of Beach Volleyball courts and a good long walking path.

“Outstanding in every way!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

Come enjoy the amazing natural beauty of Rathtrevor Park. Even though it is hard to reserve a campsite, there are walk in sites available for tenters without a reservation that are in a lovely grassy area close to the beach with running water and a central wash up area. People from all over the world come to enjoy and appreciate the sea, forest and wildlife.

Tide in and Tide out.Kids had a ball and adults walked the beach for miles. If you have not been you have no idea what you are missing.
