“Must be 5 ft or shorter to shower here”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

Stayed at the Countryside Inn, for unfortunately 2 nights. If I hadn't paid for both nights up front, I would have left. Both my husband and myself were stiff and sore the next morning, the beds are so hard. Only 1 pillow each, definately needed 2. Continental breakfast is not served till 8 am, so missed out on that. Walls in the bathroom were dripping yellow, and you had to squat to get under the shower head. We rented the kitchenette, however there was no table or chairs to sit at to eat. Walls are paper thin, we could hear the people in the next unit like they were right there, could hear their tub emptying, hear them showering, hear their toilet flush and could hear them talking. All in all, would never stay here again, especially for the cost of the room.

This place is charming. Nice owners, nice rooms, on the HWY, but surprisingly quiet. Was able to bring my dog. Clean. A small 5 min drive out of town.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2010

Due to the unexpected nature of my car`s mechanical failures, we found ourselves in Princeton for three nights.

We did stay at the Sandman on top of the hill, (another review) but after one night - decided to move. After asking around - the very friendly locals recommended this motel.

The very nice owners and hosts get it right. Although not a 3 star, or even 2.5 star - the Holiday Motel is exactly what is should be. A rustic, re-done, revamped 12 room holiday motel on the highway right by the river - with people who run the establishment that seem to care.

The room amenities were good - the towels and sheets are pefectly fine. Most importantly its spotlessly clean.

If ever...I am ever in Princeton again - I will be back.

Thanks! - slocker

Basic amenities but very clean and comfortable. Definitely several notches above the typical roadside motel.

I stayed here for 3 nights summer 2003. The motel, under new-ish management, gave very courteous and friendly service. The room had a mini-fridge (that worked!) which was very handy. Room was clean, towels were thick and not thread-bare, daily maid service. Although located off a service road on Hwy 3, the room was quiet. The owner/operators are a friendly couple with service as one of their most important criteria. I will definitely stay there again.
