“A real gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2010

I chose this motel based on the previous ratings here on tripadvisor and they were bang on. Despite the modest looking exterior this establishment was really nice. I was greeted and checked in by a pleasant young lady who explained all that the motel had to offer. I had a room on the second floor that had a large patio. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the picturesque view. The room was impeccably clean and had higher end fixtures and hardware and even a heated ceramic floor in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were of good quality. I would definitely stay here again!

I would most definitely stay here again. It's a very clean little place and an excellent value. The free breakfast is great too. Best value in Revelstoke.

Wasn't quite what I expected from the the tripadvisor reviews. We booked based on peoples recommendations so I figured we should do the same and add one. We liked it! Our room was very small, though the bathroom was a good size. The place was very clean and aside from the rumbling trains outside we had no problem getting a good nights sleep. We took the attendee's advice and ate at a local favorite (name escapes us, but it's on the main street and has ski's re-made into chairs) and it was great.

Would highly recommend it to anyone needing a stop on the way to Calgary from Vancouver.

No pool or fitness room, but they can give you access to the local rec. center up the street.

I picked these motel for our stopover between Vancouver and Calgary based on the reviews here. I was disappointed. First, the website makes me expect a bit more of a modern facility but this is your standard roadside motel I would never think of stopping at if I was driving. The staff were very friendly, and the beds were quite good, but our room smelled very strongly of mildew from a moldering shower curtain. The poor airflow in the room didn't help that. I wouldn't agree that this is a good value as I paid about $110 incl. tax for my room and think this should be more of a $70-80/night place. The noise is also pronounced although less of an issue for me since I travel with a white noise machine.

We stayed here en route to Calgary. It is an older motel, with quite basic rooms, and we needed the window open as there was not good air conditioning. This meant we were kept awake by the rabble-rousers returning from the pubs in the early hours of the morning. The place is on a main road so lots of traffic goes by. We thought from the reviews that it would be better. The good thing was it was clean, and the receptionist was friendly.

Very clean, but could be a bit noisy. Great breakfast and the girls on desk were very nice and helpful. We stayed one night which was just right.

For what the owners have to work with, a basic motel, they have done an excellent job. The place is really clean, our unit had a remodelled bathroom, and the linens are better than you might expect. The girl who checked us in was all bubbly personality - a real gem. The free breakfast is a nice touch.

For us the disappointing thing about this place was the traffic and train noise. The motel is reasonably priced and I suppose good value for the money, but too noisy for us to return.
