“Great find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

Was driving from Vancouver to Banff, stayed here overnight with my wife and two kids. It's old but well maintained and very clean, just a few rooms. We got a big one-bedroom unit in the attic. Proprietors are really hospitable, and their charming granddaughter played with my kids. Really good breakfast was served in the basement. Free wifi. Great value for money. Will stay here again if we ever happen to drop by.

Our family traveled from Banff to Vancouver. We stayed over night at this inn. Everything in the house was beyond our expectation. The room, the bath, kitchen, hallway... are all so elegant and clean. It shows the good taste of the owners in every single detail. My family really admired the decorations and art pieces in the house.

The breakfast was wonderful. The dutch pancakes conquered all the picky eaters in my family. We are so lucky to stay at an inn of this high quality with such an affordable price. Hope we can come back some day.

這真是一家最高品質而價格又合理的民宿, 如果你是從Vancouver到冰原國家公園旅遊的遊客, 千萬不可錯過這家民宿, 它會讓你的旅遊多了很多意外的驚喜.

This place is magical! It is down an unmade road to the north of Salmon Arm and you can't see another building as the house is surrounded by lush vegetation. It is quiet and civilised. The rooms are large, beautifully and tastefully furnished and immaculately clean. Each room is individually decorated, hence the names Green Room, Peach Room, etc. my bathroom was also spacious, very clean with even a spa bath for you cybarites out there. The outside is equally well maintained and I even saw my first hummingbird. Just one word of warning - bring mosquito repellent in season as they love fresh flesh, although even that is provided for you by your thoughtful hosts if you want to sit on the patio. On arrival you are given a guided tour by your welcoming host - either Rene or Joaney - and the facilities are just as described on any of the travel websites. I was able to wash, dry and iron in less than two hours, for example, which is fantastic for a place with only 6 rooms. The breakfast area is huge and breakfast itself is a foody's delight with fresh and organic foods and plenty of it. I also liked the fact that you are asked to respect the other guests and be quiet between 10 pm and 7 am which is quite important as most guests will have travelled hundreds of miles/kilometres to get here. Salmon Arm is much nicer than the more commercialised and industrialised Kamloops. If you are not going to Whistler, it is also quicker to get to/from Vancouver or Banff, Jasper or Calgary than going to Kamloops. All in all a first class place to stay at third class prices. Superb!

Room Tip: They are all equally as nice but Peach and Green are on the ground floor if stairs worry you.

After a long drive from Calgary the peacefulness of the Inn at the Ninth Hole was exactly what we needed. Spacious well equipped room with thoughtful little extras such as a night light in the bathroom. Excellent hosts made us feel more like guests than customers.

We chose this B&B because of the TA reviews and we did not regret it. The B&B was exactly what the reviews are saying: big, clean convenient rooms, comfortable huge beds and marvellous breakfast.
Among the best B&B we have stayed at. And just half the prize compared to the place we stayed at the following night, in Field.

Thank you so much for your comment, we proud ourselves in providing quality in everything we do, rooms, building, gardens and breakfast. For breakfast we have the support of many great local producers who made it easy for us to serve a great healthy and tasty start of the day.

I have never experience this great service EVER!

We were in Salmon Arm (from Saskatoon) in the beginning of June 2013 to get married. This amazing family welcomed us with open arms...literally! We stayed in the Mexican loft room, which was a very large space and made us feel very at home. It was the perfect space for us to get ready in.

They made the best breakfast we have ever had! We brought our 2 year old son with us as well and they set up a high chair and made sure there was food he would eat in the morning.

After our ceremony we got back to our room and found it decorated so perfectly! I couldn't even believe my eyes! No "stranger" has ever done something so amazing for us before.

We will be making a point to return to this amazing Inn again, just for the family that owns it!

One other note - we had family staying at various other hotels in Salmon Arm and Sicamous and they were charged more than this Inn charges, the prices are very reasonable and well worth it!

Floods in Calgary / Banff forced a change of plans and we found ourselves in Salmon Arm.
A one night stay turned into 3 nights and we can honestly say we did not want to leave. We booked "the loft" room, spacious, well appointed, scrupulously clean and incredible attention to detail. The inclusive breafast is also special with local organic food and fruits prepared in front of you. Guests are treated almost like family members and made to feel very welcome.
The Inn is tucked away in lovely surroundings and very quiet but just a few minutes drive to town. Our hosts, Joaney, Rene, Mariska and Cody could not do enough to make our stay memorable and are a delightful family. Very definately the best small hotel we have ever stayed in during our fairly extensive travels and we definately intend to return to see more of Canada and especially this beautiful area.
We look forward to staying with you again - Thank you so much. Sue and Bob, UK, June 2013

Room Tip: No tips are required. We were given a guided tour before choosing a room - NOW THAT REALLY IS SERVIC...

Thank you very much for your very kind words, we are very pleased your stay in Salmon Arm and The Shuswap was a success. We do live in a very beautiful area and there are so many things to do that a live time here is probably still not enough.
Hope to see you on your next trip.
