“Nice room. Good Location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

We were on our way to the Okanagan and decided to spend a few days in Salmon Arm. That didn't turn out to be our greatest idea, but the Comfort Inn was the best hotel choice. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a small suite which was nice. Got the AAA discount, but the cost seemed a little excessive for Salmon Arm. They obviously just get overnighters and charge a premium rate because of it. They did knock $20 off our bill because our room got missed by the cleaners one day. They do include a breakfast, but the room was crowded and loud. Didn't go back for breakfast any other days because of that. Not relaxing. I guess it's OK if you are in a hurry.

Other than the Home Restaurant - the food is amazing and the portion sizes are ridiculous - there isn't much to say about Salmon Arm. There is no beach in Salmon Arm. How insane! We live in a city where they build man made lakes throughout, with beaches. Salmon Arm is on a huge lake, but the city council has never made any effort to dredge out the reeds and make a beach. Crazy. They would attract a lot more tourists to stay longer than one night, if they did. Sounds like they need a younger, more proactive city council.:)

If you have to stay a night in Salmon Arm, this hotel is the best in town to stay at. Rated as #1in Salmon Arm by Trip Advisor for a reason. And make sure you have a dinner and a breakfast just up the road at the Home Restaurant.

As a stop over hotel this does the job just fine.
Room was clean - not fancy - but functional.
Bed was very comfortable.
Air con worked a treat which was good as it was very hot.
We took a short walk up the hill to the pub near the turnoff and had a nice band well priced dinner. Not sure what else is close by.
Easy to find - right off the hwy.
Breakfast - I wouldn't bother with not real flash.
I would not pay the money $ 200 cad, for a hotel of this quality at home, but accommodation seems very expensive in this part of Canada.

Super clean, excellent breakfast, comfy beds, good sized rooms, & a pool with a water slide made for a great stop over for our family's road trip. Only down side was we could hear neighbors all the way down the hall as well as floor below (Not great for the light sleeper).

3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013 via mobile

Stayed one night with the kids enroute from Victoria to calgary. The hotel is fairly average nothing to write home about. Clean rooms beds comfortable, staff friendly. Pool is tiny although it provided added bonus for kids especially with the water slide. Hot tub was size of a paddling pool however so didnt bother going in. One thing to note was the pool room had a very high concentration of chlorine that made our eyes sting like we'd been sprayed with CS gas... Not good. We opened the door to ventilate it but made no difference.
Oh one other thing... The hotel is next to highway 1 and we heard trucks and engine brakes a lot going down the long hill into the town.

Yes, we had not one but two false fire alarms during our one night stay here. The first one was just after I got into bed. So everyone filed outside to wait for the fire-crew to check it out. At least it was warm outside. The second one was before breakfast the follwing morning. 99% of the guests ignored it. haha.
This is a very nice comfortable, affordable hotel in a beautiful town. the beds are great, bathrooms are good. The breakfast was really good - awesome omlettes, although the one girl that was taking care of the breakfast area seemed to be very stressed.
We loved this hotel... and the fire alarm was a bit of added fun.

Thank you for your review.
We were all pleased that you did enjoy your stay even with the 2 false alarms. The alarms were caused by our compressor not having enough compression in the system which triggers the alarm system even when there isn't a fire. The compressor has been replaced and we look forward welcoming you back in the near future.
Again, thank you for your review.

This hotel was a great choice for a overnight stop in Salmon Arm. The rooms were comfortable and very clean; this coming from someone who is VERY picky about cleanliness of hotels. Nice continental breakfast with a mix of hot and cold selections. Would defiantly recommend staying at this hotel.
