I had heard good things about this establishment and I wasn't disappointed with the pies. The pastry is wonderfully flaky and the pie had a good amount of meat in the filling. I enjoyed the Chicken and Leek whilst others I was with has the Steak and another had a soup which was apparently rather tasty. We did however have to ask for forks as the pies are only served with forks, this wasn't a problem however and they were promptly brought over. The drinks were also very nice and I can recommend the fruit smoothies. One thing that was mentioned during our visit is that it would be nice in the summer if they could extend their liquor license to the outside area so that the beer sold could be enjoyed there instead of just inside. The place is busy and pies seem to sell out on occasion due to popularity but with so much choice between fruit (sweet) and savoury this doesn't seem to be a problem. The pies also come with coleslaw, of which I am not much of a fan, however the mayonnaise dressing isn't too much and therefore it is quite enjoyable. My only slight downside was the price but perhaps that is just me as the amount of people in there suggested that it was reasonable. Overall this is somewhere I would recommend for a light lunch time bite to eat. In the winter it is apparently a popular spot with local activity clubs.
