“Worth a Visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2012

The menu has a good variety: home made soups, burgers, salads, sandwiches, Italian and Greek foods.
Whenever we've eaten at Odyssia the food has been fresh and the portions generous. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly and the service is attentive but not bothersome.

“Disappointing experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2011

We went out to Butchart gardens to see the Christmas lights with a total of 6 family members on December17th, and decided to try this place out afterwards.

The restaurant was not crowded and we were seated right away. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. I ordered the chicken cacciatore. It was made with bone-in chicken, which I thought was a bit unusual. It was served with a salad and a choice of spaghetti or lasagna. I ordered the lasagna. The salad was served first and it was nothing but iceberg lettuce, red cabbage, and maybe two tomato chunks served with a watery ranch dressing on the side. My husband had the same salad and was equally disappointed. Seemed like something that might have been served in a restaurant back in 1975, before we had access to all the lovely fresh veggies that now fill our grocery stores.

The chicken cacciatore was also very disappointing. It was served as one dish over top of the lasagna, which was just noodles and sauce. The whole dish was very overcooked, with watery noodles, and the flavours were not good. My husband had the ribs and lasagna, and he was equally disappointed. Other family members ordered the house special pizza (which he seemed to enjoy), the souvlaki (disappointing) and (were universally unhappy with) the lasagna.

The server was very pleasant, but service was quite slow. The decor is dated and tacky, which I wouldn't have minded at all if the food had been good.

They also charge for refills of pop, which we found to be quite unusual these days.

We went to Odyssia thinking we would get the best of an old family style restaurant, but instead we got the worst of it.

We will not go back.

“Good choice”

This is a nice casual restaurant. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere--nice serving staff. I would recommend this restaurant.
