This is a grind-like hike on an extremely well maintained trail. The exposed granite on the top and the view of the mountains and Howe Sound - incredible. I imagine that it could be quite dangerous when wet. Our dog, a big strong Samoyed, had a few challenges going up to the first peak, but nothing we couldn't overcome without a lift here and there. I grew up on the North Shore and have done most of the peaks around there, including the Lions, Brunswick, and Harvey, but had never done the famous Chief. It deserves its popular reputation! Can be done in a couple hours if you're fit.
