Had a CONFIRMED/UPDATED reservation for two rooms for eight people on Aug 20... but reservation was not honored. Never ever knew that they took over the property from the previous owner. Turnover should have been properly managed! Our reservation for 2 rooms were confirmed way back May 2011. The travelling party of eight was left with no rooms as the hotel did not accommodate as they were full. Such a disgrace! Greatly inconvenienced! Had to fight for our rights... finally squeezed for one room but still... they did not honor the confirmed room rate! Disgusting!!! What a joke!!!! The other party of four had to look for another hotel... ended up in Whistler... 30miles away!!! The hotel should know that customers are the lifeblood of their existence!!! They should have known better... how to best handle a turnover and how to best treat a customer. SHAME ON THEM! Go back to basics!!! If there are any more customers who have been in the same situation, kindly share your experience, too. Everyone should know about this.
