“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2010

We enjoyed our night at this property. The one room suite was spacious and well appointed. It had seen some wear from other visitors - the face of the kitchen peninsula had been damaged and there was a cigarette burn on the arm of the sofa, the later being somewhat amusing as they made us initial their no smoking policy on check-in. There was only a $7 difference between the rate for a one bedroom and a studio, so I am not sure why anyone would choose the studio. The location is off the highway, but it is quiet and not difficult to locate. There are lots of eating options near by. There is free internet.

We stopped here to and from the way to Whistler. It allowed us to extend our time skiing without having to pay Whistler prices. We stayed in 2 different rooms - I'd recommend the upgraded suite.

The restaurant is good not great. There is underground parking which is a real plus in the winter. The rooms are well furnished suites.

The only issue we had was there was a high school hockey team there during our 2nd night. They made a lot of noise. It took a few calls to the front desk to get them to resolve this.

We found this THE DAY we needed a room. Rate was $130 for basically a 1BR condo w/ private bedroom for Mom and Dad. Kids slept on comfortable pull out sofa. Did laundry in en suite washer/dryer. FULL kitchen w/ full size appliances. Fireplace, granite counters. Great deal for the price. And clean. Nice view of mountains. Stay here.

My husband and I stayed at the Executive Suites Garibaldi in early May.

The Hotel was beautiful, our room was a full one bedroom apartment with Kitchen equipped with all the essentials, in-suite laundry and fire place. Even though our room was not on the golf course side, the view of the mountains from our balcony was spectacular.

I noticed in a previous review there was an extra charge for Internet but it seems the extra cost has been eliminitated as guest internet access was free.

To our surprise the golf course was closed, but the front desk staff was very helpful referring us to another local course only 5 minutes away.

I would highly recomment this hotel to anyone looking fro a relaxing getaway or a permanent base for a long term stay allowing you to experience the many unique adventures Squamish has to offer.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2010

The design and the furnishing of our room was splendid; comfortable, spacious and well-equipped. The staff were helpful and efficient . However, there are two things to note. Although it describes itself as a "hotel" it does not offer breakfast nor even sell ingredients for eating in one's room. There are, however, convenience stores and cafés a short drive away. Secondly, it asks to be paid for the use of internet, which most upmarket hotels have long since abandoned. This is a particular problem because the AAA/CAA 2010 handbook specifically advertises free internet for this hotel. Well worth challenging if they try to charge.

But overall an excellent hotel for the area and well worth a visit.

This past weekend we travelled with my husband's soccer team to Squamish. The team has attended the tournament the last 5 years. And, therefore, we have stayed in several of the Squamish area hotels. Everyone could not say enough about the value for the money it cost to stay here. Everyone was impressed with the size of the rooms, the washer and dryers (a great bonus with all the outdoor pursuits visitors to Squamish partake in), the kitchens and hot tub. This is the best place to stay in Squamish.
