“Home Away From Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2009

I have been staying at the Belgravia through the months of May and June for the past three years. As a business traveller I get very tired of the traditional hotel room options. I have found a very comfortable atmosphere at the Belgravia. I come and go as I please and basically just kind of call the place home for a couple of months. Anne, D'Arcy and their family have also made me feel very welcome. I would highly recommend this B & B to anyone if you are staying in the Truro area.

Three friends and I stayed at the Belgravia Bed & Breakfast for one night in on our way to New Brunswick. Anne met us at the door and welcomed us into their beautiful home. The two rooms we had were fantastic - both were cozy and comfortable and came with a tv and a large ensuite bathroom. The breakfast of eggs florentine the next morning was incredible and the bread was homemade by Anne's husband D'Arcy! I will definitely be back to stay there again... and hopefully for more than one night!

Our family was only able to spend one night at this charming, well-appointed B&B, and we wished we could have stayed much longer. We used it as a stopping-over point on our way from New Hampshire to PEI, but next time will just plan to drive as far as Truro and consider ourselves properly vacationed.

Excellent food, beautiful home, wonderful hosts.

I had always wanted to stay in a B & B like this: a beautiful, gracious, elegant, well-preserved older home with all the amenities--all the comforts of home (or better), with none of the cares. Anne and D'Arcy, the proprietors, were so warm and welcoming. They made us feel a part of their family. The food was great, and so was our room. It was large, with a very comfy bed, and one of my most favorite amenities: a private bathroom! We were there with friends to see Nova Scotia for the first time, and the Belgravia is in a good, central location to take a lot of day trips around Nova Scotia. I can't wait to go back for another stay!

Anne and Darcy welcomed me into their lovely home. The home is beautiful and holds a lot of charm. The room was the perfect size and the bathroom was large with a stand up shower. The bed was extra comfortable and the sheets were so soft. Their kids were delightful. I enjoyed playing with the girls, Listening to Alex on the piano and chatting with Evan. I felt at home and will visit this B&B again. I would recommend staying at Belgravia Bed & Breakfast to anyone needing accomodations in Turo.

The Belgravia B&B is a lovely establishment! It is set in a century-old home filled with antiques and lots of charm. We had a nice quiet room with double bed (and the most comfortable, soft sheets!), and a large private bathroom with shower.
The food was great, and breakfast included homemade rolls or muffins each morning. Hosts Ann & D'Arcy McDonah were so friendly, they made us feel like family.
We definitely plan to visit again!

The Belgravia is a lovely home with charming hosts. As we were only there for one night we booked a small room, but it was very comfortable and had a very nice, large bathroom. Our hosts helped with restaurant options and we had a wonderful dinner at the Wooden Hog, walking distance away. Breakfast was generous and delicious. It's very easy to find off 102 and less than an hour from the Halifax airport.
