“Great service makes this special”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014 via mobile

I am a believer that great service can make up,for average food in lots of ways. We sat outside on the deck when it was pretty busy. Our server - Danielle - really took care of us. She had good recommendations and was prompt and efficient. Following the meal, when things were slower, she asked how we were enjoying our visit to Canada and wanted to hear about what we had done.

The food was good, not great. I would go back easily. My hamburger was tasty but over cooked. My granddaughter's chicken sandwich was excellent and ny wife's salad was delicious. If you are nearby, go give them a try.

“the only good thing was that the beer was cold ...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

We had been touring the Maritimes for almost three weekends and had eaten out almost every day - we had the opportunity to try differ net seafood all along the way; in top flight restaurant, in pubs and in small local places.

This was the worst meal that we had.

We paid dearly for bad halibut - dried out; we paid less for bad battered and deep fried fish (frozen and greasy) and chips (soggy) - obviously the oil wasn't hot enough. Both tasted frozen to me

The appetizers – were the best part of the meal. The Portobello mushrooms in balsamic being good but they were already cold when we got them; the calamari had good flavour but the sauce with them was from a bottle

Our server (Danielle) was nice but the other one, whom we asked if we could sit out on the patio, seemed to be having a bad day.

“Great burgers and beer :)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

Mushroom and Swiss burger was fantastic, not too big and sloppy, with great quality beef. Nice patio and a good selection of local beer on tap. Even my vegetarian sister was happy. We would visit again!
