We were pleasantly met and given our key -offered many free movies, games to watch and paid a very reasonable price. The room was great with all we could need-fridge,microwave ,big tv etc. It was neat ,clean close to many places to eat, wander in the park ,shop etc. Convenient, affordable and fun. Also had a pool but never got to that as we were in a golf tournament and not enough time but looked great too.Huge priced rooms with lots of noise and traffic won't beat this place out. It was quiet and comfy and we would definitely go there again! Thanks !!

Room Tip: on ground level ! Out the door and go toward stores, park, etc ,no great distances. Quiet-and the peop...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am so glad that you appreciate that a motel does not have to be large and expensive in order to enjoy your visit. While the Motel is older, we are always upgrading and renovating so that our guests will have an enjoyable experience, including the best in-room entertainment in the industry. Again, many thanks for your review. Best regards

Let me start by saying that if we were passing through Truro again, we would stay at the Rainbow Motel for the night -- a longer stay probably not.

As we approached the motel, we were very dubious about our decision to stay here. There was nothing inviting about the outside of this property or sign. The reception area didn't give us any more hope. (Beware that you may have to ring a bell and wait for the owner to come from his house next door.)

When the owner came to greet us things got better. He was super nice. He explained to us how to use the new HD television and blue ray player that were in our room. He also suggested that we take a couple of blue rays to watch. He has a large assortment of blue rays and games for his guests to use at no charge.

The room itself was quite acceptable. The bed and pillows (full sized ones) were very comfortable.

The furniture was in very good shape. The bureau/desk and television table I wouldn't mind having in my own home. There were also two night tables and two chairs. The drapes and bedspread, although too drab for my taste, were very nice. There were also a refrigerator and microwave.

The bathroom, which was the weakest part of the room, was long and narrow with no place to put toiletries except in the medicine cabinet. The towels were good sized but, were they mine, I would have already downgraded them to cleaning cloths. If you need to have an upgraded bathroom, this may not be the place for you.

All in all we had a comfortable night's stay here at a very reasonable price for the area ($75.00)

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am pleased that you were mostly happy with your stay here. The building you stayed in was constructed in the 1950's and the size of the bathrooms is not something I can alter unfortunately. Our other building was constructed with larger rooms and bathrooms. The reception area was re-arranged and new venetian blinds installed just yesterday, and I removed all the decals except for one on the main door. That really makes a difference. I hope that the remainder of your journey has been safe and enjoyable. Best reghards

Robert and Norita Cunningham.

A motel by definition should be affordable, close to the motor route, and have parking directly outside your room. My additional requirements are clean rooms, comfortable beds and friendly service. Rainbow Motel ticks all those boxes plus they have a wide range of movies and games available for use free of charge. Kid's were thrilled!

My daughter and myself, we stayed for one night and we were happy with the nice and clean room. We appreciated the warm welcome and the encouraging words of the owner. When you are exhausted from your travel you expect a very positive attitude and a smile: we got both. Thanks a lot.

Room Tip: There is a restaurant just opposite the motel and the food was fine. The service was good.

While the accomodations may be simple, I rate the Motel as very good, because it was clean, and comfortable, and provided me with everything I needed. The big screen TV, PS3 and all the free Blue Ray movies and games were great. But, the best part was the way I was made to feel welcome. The owners were so nice and helpful. For the cost, it was was well worth it, and I would defiantely there again if I'm back in Truro.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review of our motel. While we try to always provide the best amenities we can, our most important effort is to try to make our guests feel the way we ourselves would like to feel in an unfamiliar place.
