“Wild weather”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

Cape Fourchu is a lovely drive from Yarmouth, passing by the lobster boats and pretty coves. We went there during a hurricane-force storm, and the waves were amazing.

“A true maritime moment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

This picture perfect lighthouse has to be seen .After embracing its location and natural maritime
beauty, it is an experience to stand beside this iconic applecore shaped tower. You get a feeling
that this is Nova Scotia's" statue of liberty". This lighthouse left such an impression on us,
that I built a 7 foot identical replica that graces our property in Ontario.
The volunteers at Cape Forchu are proud of their gem and offer much information and
stories of its historical past.
No tourist traps here. A true maritime moment for everyone who ventures to see this unusual
one of a kind lighthouse.

“Love the Mug Up Tea Room!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

We stopped by the picturesque lighthouse late in the afternoon and realized we were hungry, so we went into the quaint looking tea room and looked around. The kitchen was actually closed, but Gail brought us a bowl of the best Haddock chowder I've ever eaten with large, savory pieces of haddock, and wonderful homemade coconut cream pie. I wish we had ordered 2 bowls and 2 pieces of pie! This place is definitely worth stopping to see.
