High Falls Chalet Inn is the most beautiful place we have ever vacationed. There is so much to do for the whole family. The water falls are spectacular to wake up to every morning. We had such a great time boating, hiking, swiming and just hanging around our cottage relaxing. We found that our accommodations were exacty what was shown on thier web site. They were clean, well kept. We had a great time and can't wait to go back again this summer.
We highly recommend this place.

I loved this Cottage Resort.
It was beautiful and unique, reading these other reviews, im wondering what these other peple are even thinking, I went, it was beautiful there was no smell coming from the river. My kids also loved it, and they didn't mind the nudity in the waterpark or the hot tub. If this man chooses to live like this then get over it. Its descrimination against his way of life. Hes not telling you that your way of lifing is wrong just becuase your wearing clothes. Im not a nudist, im just saying, why be so rude to someone who is obviously very nice and curtious. Its not like hes flaling around naked all the time. You need to open your minds. But alside from the negative rewiews. I thought this resort was worth every penny. The rooms were spotless and equipped the same as my own kitchen. My kids loved the horse swim and so did me and my hunsband. There was trails near by the these cute little paddle boats to go and explore the falls better and the small surronding lake. The falls were so beautiful. The whole area was beautiful and there was a small little town near by with everything we needed, like gas and food and it was good to even just to explore the old town. There was even a movie theater in town.
Overall ..lets just say, i will forsure be there this summer. so you should GO GO GO. Hope to see you there

I am reading these postings and I am glad that i trusted my inscticts. i had stayed there for the summer of 05 and it was great. Nice grounds, great hot tubs one of the best I have ever been in. Nice warm pool, a horse swim for the kids one day. The falls were beautiful and the chalet was nice. Went back the following year and I have to say the owner was nice to us. as far as the 12 year old girl at the desk, she is 13 and it is his daugter who works at the resort and is very on the ball. our cottage was nice the second year and the kids had a great time in the waterpark. However, I was starting to rethink if I was going to come back as I noticed the river does have a kind of smell. it is not like swimming in a fresh lake. The kids did enjoy the beach, waterslide and the horse swim in the river was very cool, but then I noticed the owner as he is doing the swim is only wearing a towel. Then I think, was he only wearing a towel last year. I don't know but that is kind of wierd. At
about 7 at night i go into the beatiful hottub with my son and the owner is in the pool with his kids but he is nude. standing beside me in a hot tub naked. ok, this is not what I bargained for. My husband liked the place and I have to say the owner was very nice to our family but when I thought about the whole week we were there, he
never wore clothes. Maybe if I was in the ocean in the south of France but not in a resort in Ontario. My kids were young at the time but at this age I would not go there and by seeing the postings I am really glad we went to Sandusky Ohio, waterparks where people whether they were beach beuttiys or not were fully clothed. The resort has alot of potential and the newer cabins are very nice but the kitchens are not properly equipped and the river is nice but it is not a lake and we enjoyed Lake Erie alot more and like I said every one was fully clothed.

I wish I had read this site before booking here,it pains me to give a rating. The term "buyer beware" was coined for High Falls I'm sure. I admit to being duped by the adverts. From the rude, nude owner to the old, filthy shack we stayed in, this place was a nightmare. We only stayed two nights of a week's booking and that was too much. My sense of humour has recovered enough to be able to laugh at the review which gave this dump a five star rating. The one good thing to come out of this is that my parenting skills have improved. I told my kids that if they misbehave in the future then they shall be sent to High Falls for a week or two. They've been as good as gold ever since.
