The trails are well maintained for cross country skiing, in the summer they work hard to have educational programs teaching children about animals and habitat. A lot of hard work is done clearing trails after a storm. People come out in large numbers to participate and watch the dog sled races. Snow shoes are available if people want to try them. Planned seasonal activities supply nets to secure and study a few pollywogs, and if your are lucky observe their white swans with theirs signets, even cook your own wieners and marshmallows over an open fire.
There are benches along the walking path if you prefer to sit and admire the view or even meditate. I love the area for kayaking and stopping somewhere for a packed lunch.
It would not be possible without the many volunteers. Of course more volunteers would be welcomed!
On occasion they may charge per car if it is a special occasion and hot food is served by volunteers. Washroom as are available on these occasions
