“BEAUTIFUL Theatre”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

Beautifully restored theatre. Changerooms were beautifully redone, seats in the theatre were comfy, volunteers very attentive and helpful. One speaker seemed to have some issues. Chatham is VERY lucky to have such a facility!

“nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

This place reminds me of the Grand Theater in London. We were there to see Brent Butt. He wasn't as funny as i thought he would be. He never did talk about Corner Gas which was disappointing.

“Great place to see a live show”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

The Capital Theatre is wonderful conversion of an old movie theatre. The municipality, other levels of government, as well as, private and corporate donors plowed millions into this project. It was supposed to be run as a non-profit performing arts theatre. They brought in some big acts, when it opened, however, the venture failed after only one season. Ownership has since been transferred to St. Clair College who now operate it. It is now sadly under-utilized. It is beautifully appointed inside and a great place to catch a live show when they occasionally come to town. I prefer seats close to the front balcony.

“What a wonderful renovation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

The Capital is one of these hold over's from an era past. It is so wonderful that it has been restored to its former glory. We enjoy going there for anythnig that interests us and they have such names as Goroen Lightfoot.
