Planned this weekend away with my daughter so that we could be pampered by the advertised exquisit home, it's location to the town and , more importantly, the gourmet food. The house is lovely and large and the room (Mrs. Fortune) was big but we felt that it lacked a few comforts - no kettle for tea and coffee in the room, no adaquate place to hang up clothes (it was raining and we got wet) and no t.v. in the room or sittling room. Unfortunately for us, the owner and chef was away, so our breakfast was very disappointing and prepared by someone who was not qualified - consisted of canned fruit cocktail on yogurt, well done poched eggs on a dry bun, and a slice of tomato, juice and coffee. No meat was offered or tea or extra toast. We would not go back.
If you are planning to stay, just make sure Cathryn is going to be there.
